Pomni’s Story Ends Tonight: Everything to Know Before ‘The Last Act’ Drops

An indie web series that started on YouTube in 2023 just out-grossed Hollywood at the box office — and tonight, it ends. The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act lands on Netflix on June 19, 2026, closing out one of the wildest underdog stories in modern animation.

The Last Act: Key Details

Why This Finale Is a Bigger Deal Than It Looks

Most web series don’t get a theatrical run. The Amazing Digital Circus got a sold-out one. Driven entirely by fan campaigns, Glitch’s “leap of faith” into cinemas turned into one of the most successful independent animation events in box office history, repeatedly outperforming major studio releases over its two-week window.

Netflix and Glitch also changed strategy along the way. Rather than dropping episodes one at a time, they started bundling releases — a tactic that worked for Episodes 5 through 7 back in December 2025, and now closes out the show entirely. Tonight’s “Last Act” combines the already-released Episode 8 with the hour-long grand finale, Episode 9: “Remember.”

As for the story itself: with the circus’s unstable AI ringmaster Caine gone, Pomni and the rest of the cast are left to confront their pasts — and the actual truth behind the Digital Circus — alone. It’s a far cry from where the show started, and you can read the series’ full origin story on its Wikipedia page.
