Poco and Oppo Hike Prices Again — Up to ₹5,000 More on X8 Pro Series and K13 Turbo Pro

The memory-shortage price hike wave shows no signs of slowing down. Poco and Oppo have both revised pricing across their popular mid-range lineups, with increases running as high as ₹5,000 on a single variant.

The New Pricing

The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro’s 12GB variant takes the biggest single hit here, jumping a full ₹5,000 — the steepest increase in this round across both brands.

This Isn’t the X8 Pro Series’ First Hike

Here’s the part worth flagging: this is actually the third price revision for the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max since their original launch. Poco quietly raised prices once in May, again in July, and now for a third time in August — meaning both phones are now running ₹3,000 to ₹7,000 above their original launch pricing, depending on variant. What started as a competitively priced mid-ranger has crept steadily upmarket with each passing month.

Why It Keeps Happening

The underlying cause remains the same one behind nearly every smartphone price hike in 2026: a global memory chip shortage. DRAM and NAND flash prices have surged as manufacturers redirect production capacity toward higher-margin AI server chips, squeezing supply for everyday consumer electronics. This same pressure has already hit Vivo’s X300 FE, Redmi’s Turbo 5, and iQOO’s 15 series in recent weeks — and going by the pattern, it’s unlikely to be the last round either.

What This Means If You’re Buying

If you’d been eyeing the X8 Pro series or the K13 Turbo Pro, it’s worth checking whether retailers still have old-stock units at pre-hike pricing before the new rates fully filter through. Otherwise, expect the higher numbers to be the new baseline going forward — and don’t be surprised if a fourth revision follows in the coming months, given the pattern so far. You can track live official pricing on Poco India’s website and Oppo India’s website.

Bottom Line

Poco and Oppo’s latest hikes push both brands’ mid-range lineups further from their original value pitch, with the X8 Pro series now three revisions deep since launch. If you need one of these phones soon, buying sooner rather than later is the safer bet — prices in this segment have only moved one direction all year.
