PlayStation Plus launching in India on June 23rd starts at Rs 499 per month

Sony has been expanding its gaming lineup after balancing books with new PlayStation 5s across the globe. While their India restocks have been worst when compared with other countries, still, Sony has no issues in providing its gaming-as-a-service option to Indian audiences.

So, like in other countries, its revamped PlayStation Plus subscription will be going live on June 23rd with multiple tiers and bringing a lot of game content along with it. This one subscription grants you access to blockbuster hits like Demon’s Souls and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and classics like Ape Escape and Syphon Filter.

Also if you don’t know your PlayStation Plus subscription will by default feature Ubisoft+ games as per the latest announcement. So, if you own a PS5 or PS4 this is the best time to get yourself a new PlayStation Plus subscription or maybe gift someone who has a PlayStation at home.

PlayStation Plus Tiers

There will be three tiers available for India and globally, but here is what it will cost you in India to avail these new PlayStation Plus subscriptions:

  • PlayStation Plus Essential – This includes online multiplayer access, two PS4 and one PS5 game to download every month, exclusive discounts, and more. The basic tier of PlayStation Plus will be priced at Rs 499 for 1 month / Rs 1,199 for 3 months and only Rs 2,999 for 12 months which translates to Rs 250 per month only.
  • PlayStation Plus Extra – Enjoy all PlayStation Plus Essential benefits, and explore a world of incredible gaming experiences with the Game Catalog, featuring hundreds of downloadable PS4 and PS5 games. The mid-tier is often dubbed the sweet spot who want more games, and this PlayStation Plus Extra will be priced at Rs 749 for 1 month / Rs 1,999 for 3 months and only Rs 4,999 for 12 months.
  • PlayStation Plus Deluxe – This tier is for hardcore PlayStation fans who want the best offering that Sony has to give to its gamers. Get all PlayStation Plus benefits from the other plans, plus game trials, and access to definitive games from years gone by in the Classics Catalogue. The best tier of PlayStation Plus will be priced at Rs 849 for 1 month / Rs 2,299 for 3 months and only Rs 5,749 for 12 months.

Sony says you need to have at least a 5 Mbps internet connection which I think a lot of gamers do have. Now, the best part of PlayStation Plus as you do enjoy with Xbox Game Pass is that as any game drops each month you can keep it forever as long as you pay for your subscription.

Enjoy PS Plus online multiplayer with a PlayStation Plus subscription, this opens new worlds in your favourite games and lets you play online with friends and compete in online tournaments. Also, when you commit to PS Plus you get exclusive access to the best deals on select games, add-ons, pre-orders and more from PlayStation Store.

Enjoy Exclusive game content to 100 GB of cloud storage, this subscription is the ultimate one for PlayStation members. Join or get to know more about the new PS Plus and its benefits from Sony PlayStation’s official site here.
