A video from 2020 has recently gone viral, featuring an interview with Guardiola on a YouTube channel called Post United, where he shares invaluable advice with young footballers.

Pep Guardiola’s Timeless Wisdom

In the video, a young Pau Víctor, then struggling to break into the starting lineup of Girona’s B team despite his commendable performances, sought Guardiola’s counsel on how to become a better player. Guardiola’s response was both inspiring and thought-provoking:

“I can’t give you advice on how to improve as a player, I don’t know you and I’m not your coach. But life is about how you face tough moments, and that’s when you show your worth. There are two options: complain about it or show them. It’s about Pau and nobody else.”

This advice on self-belief and resilience in the face of adversity rings even more profound considering the trajectory of Pau Víctor’s career over the past four years. From a struggling bench warmer at Girona’s academy, he has transformed into a rising star, scoring two goals in El Clásico and potentially embarking on a bright career at one of the world’s greatest football clubs.
