Galaxy S23 Series to be launched without Exynos processor

0

Samsung‘s next big thing, the Galaxy S23 series, is already in the works and is expected to launch in the first half of 2023. One source indicated that the phones would be on sale in January, while the most recent leak we have pointed to a February launch.

However, the most recent tip we have for you is unquestionably sound. There has been a lot of conjecture regarding the release date and technical specifications of the phones.

Galaxy S23 Series processor details

The Exynos 2300 does not exist, at least not for the forthcoming flagships, since the Galaxy S23 series is solely going to be built on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This information was provided by Ice Universe in a shared photograph.

This supports the tipster’s earlier tweet, which stated that the Exynos 2300 has never been the subject of any information. In the paper shared in the tweet above, the CFO of Qualcomm states that the market share increases from 75% in the Galaxy S22 to worldwide in the Galaxy S23.

The Samsung Galaxy S22’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant was available in the vast majority of markets around the world earlier this year, while the Exynos variant was only available in a select handful. This may seem like a relatively minor distinction at first glance, but it is important to note. If the rumours are accurate, the Galaxy S23 will be released next year with identical features for every country, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

This is undoubtedly welcome news because, if you’ve had an opportunity to use the Galaxy S22 with Exynos, you know that it felt very different—and not in a good way—than the other type.

On the rear of the Lava Blaze, 5G is a triple 50-megapixel camera unit. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front. A fingerprint scanner on the side of the device is present.

Chinese smartphone manufacturers have already introduced a number of 5G phones in India. Lava is the brand that first introduced 5G phones to India among the international companies. The company previously unveiled the Lava AGNI 5G, which runs on a Dimensity 810 processor, and is currently preparing to disclose the price of its second 5G phone, the Lava Blaze 5G.

Apple supplier Foxconn quadruples bonuses for workers affected by the China COVID lockdown

0

As per the sources, we came to know that to ease employee resentment by COVID restrictions and keep workers at the massive iPhone manufacturing facility, Apple supplier Foxconn said that it has increased bonuses on offer for employees at its Zhengzhou plant in central China.

According to the official WeChat account of Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant, daily bonuses for workers who are a member of a Foxconn unit responsible for producing electronics including smartphones at the site have increased to 400 yuan ($55) from 100 yuan for November.

Foxconn Increases Bonus by Four Times

Foxconn, formerly known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd, manufactures 70% of all iPhone shipments globally. The majority of the company’s phones are made in the Zhengzhou factory, where it employs about 200,000 people while having additional minor production facilities in south China and India.

The Zhengzhou plant has been jolted by dissatisfaction with the stringent measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. Over the weekend, some staff left the workplace after ranting on social media about their treatment and accommodations. Foxconn was compelled to follow government orders that put employees in “miserable conditions,” according to a source.

The source added that they declined to be named since they were not authorized to speak to the media because originally there wasn’t enough to eat or drink. Since then, vital supplies have been delivered to the Foxconn campus after the scarcity caused concern.

According to a Foxconn manager who is in charge of more than 1,000 employees, the facility had trouble isolating the infected due to capacity issues. The unnamed manager claimed that panic also grew among employees as a result of social media rumors and beliefs that if they contracted the virus, they faced a danger of illness.

As per the sources, a senior anonymous Foxconn official was cited in an article by the government-backed Henan Daily that first described the rewards system. Although the executive informed the publication there had been no severe illnesses and the business had set up a team to move afflicted individuals to quarantine, Foxconn has not revealed if any employees at the Zhengzhou location had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

When contacted for comment regarding the Henan Daily article, Foxconn did not react right away. The Henan Daily is the province of Henan’s official newspaper, and Zhengzhou serves as its capital.

The sources also claimed that it was unable to immediately get in touch with the Zhengzhou administration by phone or fax for comment. The city announced that teams from the government had been sent early to the plant to assist in risk assessments and situation management.

About the 15,000-yuan Bonus

According to the sources, it states that due to the circumstances, the plant’s ability to produce iPhones in November may decline by as much as 30%, however, Foxconn was attempting to increase output at a different factory in Shenzhen to make up for the loss. On November 1st, Foxconn’s shares (2317.TW) ended 1% lower than the larger index’s 0.4% gain (.TWII).

Foxconn’s notice also claimed that to “gradually resume orderly production” and “thank our fellow employees’ persistence,” individuals who work for more than 25 days in a month may be eligible for a maximum bonus of 5,000 yuan. Previously, the maximum incentive was 1,500 yuan.

The notification further stated that individuals who put up their “full effort” in November, including forgoing any leave, may receive a cumulative bonus of more than 15,000 yuan for the month. Foxconn employees make between 3,000 and 4,000 yuan per month on average.

Despite the bonuses offered, a worker said she had decided to leave since the situation they were in was “horrendous.” She stated that several of her coworkers were persuaded to stay because of the additional pay.

China’s zero approaches towards COVID-19 require localities to act swiftly to curb outbreaks with measures including lockdowns, but it allows factories in affected areas to stay open on condition they operate under a “closed loop” system where staff live and work on-site.

However, businesses have complained about the difficulties of the system and the staff toll. The senior executive cited by the Henan Daily said Foxconn started carrying out daily COVID testing for its staff at the site on Oct. 10, and three days later implemented the closed-loop system by moving staff living off-site into its dormitories.

Oppo Find X6 Pro’s specifications leaked as it includes a 2K OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

0

The Oppo Find X6 Pro’s main features have recently come to light. The entire list of features for the forthcoming flagship smartphone has essentially been exposed by a new leak. There you have it—everything we know about this gadget.

Oppo Find X6 Pro specifications

Yogesh Brar, a reputable tipper, tweeted the news, bringing it to our attention. Looking at this tweet, Oppo Find X6 Pro appears that the newest, most expensive Find X6 Pro will have a tall, 6.7-inch E6 OLED display with a high 2K resolution. At the very least, a 120Hz refresh rate would be included. Another 32-megapixel selfie camera would be located on the front.

As opposed to this, the back of the device will have a triple camera configuration with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a second 50-megapixel zoom camera. According to rumours, the Sony IMX989 sensor will be the main camera.

It’s interesting to note that the camera apparently includes Hasselblad Tuning as well. The device was anticipated to have a sizable 1-inch primary sensor based on our prior research, and this study confirms that rumour. The smartphone will have an internal storage capacity of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 8GB or 12GB of RAM.

A sizable 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging will also be used to power the smartphone. Additionally, it will function out of the box with ColorOS 13 based on Android 13. Remember that this is still just a report, so you should treat this leak with caution for the time being. Stay tuned for more since we’ll update this post as soon as new details about this issue become available.

Samsung’s advertising makes fun of Apple for not producing a foldable iPhone.

0

This week, Samsung recently debuted a new commercial that appears to make fun of Apple for not yet having a foldable iPhone. The new commercial, “On the Fence,” pokes fun at Apple in what seems to be a shop setting.

Samsung’s advertisement details

When we look at the advertisement, a man is seated on a fence that watches over this Apple Store. When he approaches, a phony Apple employee asks, “Hey, what are you doing up there? Being on the fence is not an option. The hesitant man replies, “But on the Samsung side, they have folding phones with spectacular cameras.” F

A second person who looks to be an Apple client then expresses interest in the foldable devices as the staff member tries to persuade the first to go.

The worker also says, “We’re waiting for all that to come over here,” but the client asks, “Why? It has already arrived there. The fictitious Apple employee then finally responds, “Because that’s what we do. As we wait.

This isn’t the first time the South Korean technology behemoth has made fun of the Cupertino-based company. When the iPhone manufacturer releases a new model or adds a function that Samsung already has, it makes fun of them.

These taunts, however, have increased recently, with the most recent ones focusing on Apple’s delay in releasing a foldable tablet.

Samsung first introduced foldable phones in September 2022 with the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 while making fun of the iPhone’s lack of innovation in its first-to-foldable campaign. If Apple intends to release a foldable smartphone any time soon is still unknown at this time. But we have previously discussed several rumours and patents. Stay tuned for additional information.

AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and AM5 Motherboard are So expensive!

0

Although AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors significantly improve upon the previous-generation models, they are significantly more expensive than Raptor Lake, giving Intel the performance and value crown in every price range. This situation is made worse by the fact that AMD’s new AM5 platform, which includes the X670 and B650 motherboards, is hampered by expensive price as a result of the company’s design choices and TDP.

Raptor Lake supports two types of memory, giving Intel consumers a less expensive value alternative while AMD skipped support for DDR4 memory in favour of spending all of its money on pricier DDR5 memory. These factors collectively place Intel at the top of our ranking of the best CPUs for gaming in almost every category.

The previous-generation Ryzen 7 5800X3D has been marked down to record low prices and provides quicker gaming performance than the new Ryzen 7000 CPUs, indicating that AMD’s own previous-generation AM4 motherboard ecosystem is also proving to be a disadvantage. Because of this, Ryzen customers may easily and cheaply upgrade their AM4 systems, which date as far back as 2017, by just dropping this chip into them. Sales of the 5800X3D have increased as a result, delaying the enthusiast community’s widespread switch to the AM5 socket.

However, AMD hasn’t changed prices in response to a less expensive competition that offers superior performance, despite the fact that both enthusiasts and casual users have noted that the chip and platform pricing for Ryzen 7000 is excessively high. That’s unusual; over the past several years, we’ve become accustomed to one chipmaker dominating performance while the other lowers prices to entice bargain hunters.

Since 2017, AMD’s AM4 socket has supported five CPU generations, 125+ processors, and more than 500 different motherboard designs. However, AMD is now moving forward with the AM5 socket for Ryzen 7000. The cost of the overall platform has increased because to the AM5 motherboard ecosystem’s higher price compared to AM4 versions and comparable Intel motherboards. A large portion of this cost rise can be ascribed to design choices.

AMD
credit: tomshwardare

AMD has switched to a motherboard chipset based on chiplets, therefore certain versions come with two ‘Promontory 21’ chipsets daisy-chained together for the X670 / X670E motherboards, while the B650 only receives a single chipset.

The new AM5 socket from AMD is the first company’s major PC platform to feature a Land Grid Array (LGA) design. While initially more expensive than Intel’s, the AM5 socket and retainer are anticipated to become less expensive as volume increases.

The new architecture is largely to blame for the rising cost of AMD’s power supply subsystem. As we showed in the power analysis portion of our study, Ryzen 7000’s performance improvements are mostly attributable to dramatically improved power delivery, which helps to open up new performance horizons. AMD upped peak power from the previous-gen Ryzen 5000’s 142W limit to 230W, setting a new high for Ryzen and defining a new 170W TDP range. AMD boosted the EDC and TDC amperage as well.

Despite recent price improvements, DDR5 is still much more expensive than DDR4. Intel anticipates that DDR4 and DDR5 will coexist until 2024. DDR4 is slower than DDR5 in particular workloads, and vice versa. This is significant because you can choose to utilise a cheap DDR4 kit and a motherboard that supports DDR4 in order to save an additional $20 to $30 on your Intel build in addition to the savings from purchasing a DDR4 kit.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 – All You Need to Know

0

Samsung makes great smartwatches but are they overpriced? Yes, to some extent and again Apple Watches have always been there for those who can afford to spend. However, being a budget-conscious typical Indian I won’t be spending Rs.20-30k just for a smartwatch which is again an electronic device and will die sooner than later.

Now, for me replacing my old entry-level Amazfit smartwatch was damn necessary especially in 2022 when a chunk of Indian brands have popped into this smartwatch market. However, I feel they still lack on the software front which is the reason why I was looking for a proper Android Smartwatch.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 after 1 month

In this article where I initially wrote why I bought the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999, here I will talk about what have I concluded in my one month of usage. Originally priced at ₹26,999 for the 44mm Bluetooth variant, Samsung has cut prices and has sold for ₹9,999 for a month and other retailers like Amazon or Flipkart are still selling it for Rs.11k.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Specifications

  • Only compatible with Android Smartphones (Runs on Wear OS Powered by Samsung)
  • Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis Sensor for Body Composition Analysis, Optical Heart Rate Sensor.
  • Health Monitoring features such as Advanced Sleep Analysis & Women’s Health.
  • Enhanced Fitness tracking lets you track 90+ workouts; Enriched App availability and connectivity with Wear OS, Powered by Samsung. Typical Usage Time (Hours): up to 40 Hours.

Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 – A well-balanced Smartwatch offered at the right price

Don’t get me wrong but if Samsung is able to offer this smartwatch for such affordable pricing in a price-sensitive market like India, it has the potential of selling it at that price permanently in the country. Yes, most of these Samsung smartwatches and Apple Watches have been selling in India for a triple to four times the cost of actual manufacturing.

Samsung is known for its polished software experience and collaborating with Google to bring watchOS to Galaxy Watch4 was an intelligent move and has paid off well for the South Korean giant. So, the OneUI Watch 4.5 makes this one of the best Android smartwatches in the Rs.10k price bracket after being discounted, making it the most valuable proposition.

For an ultra-rich or an enthusiast cutting pockets and making more money as being a premium offering has been the trend in this tech consumer space until Chinese brands or even Indian brands came into play. So, Samsung India should actually stick to this pricing or that Rs.15k price bracket when launched new rather than what it has been for the past few years now.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 after 1 month

A Burst of Features

Undoubtedly, being a premium smartwatch the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 has a host of features which is more than enough for an average user. From tracking a wide range of activities like swimming, walking, cycling, and more, to navigating to any place with Google Maps, or controlling, and playing independent music from the watch itself you can do a lot of things directly without even touching your phone.

I have used Bixby a lot of times to set alarms, find places, ask about the weather, and much more, send replies to messages, or take a quick glance at your notification, OneUI is soo polished on the Galaxy Watch4. With the seamless integration of the Galaxy Wearable app and the Watch4 along with timely updates, with time, this looks to be a fine wine.

Now, the best part of being integrated into watchOS is if you do not find the Samsung apps (which again can be removed) or the popular apps convincing you can download third-party apps from the Play Store directly to the smartwatch if they support watchOS.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 after 1 month

Premium Design & Display

Thanks to Samsung’s expertise in making a stylish smartwatch, this 44mm variant of the Galaxy Watch4 certainly looks good when you wear it and the color of the strap is again enticing. Comfortable to wear all day and easy to sip into the arms, it readily became my all-day companion without any problem.

The large dial and the bigger screen, yes, it’s a proper AMOLED display that goes really bright and I had no doubts that in this regard Samsung will leave no stone unturned. Even after a year of launch, this display is still a flagship of its own and for the price, it is one of the best, also, yes, people do notice it for its premium appeal.

With after-market customizable straps and options you could easily wear this Galaxy Watch4 for years down the line.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 after 1 month

Endless Customizations

While I have complained a lot about the crappy UI and limited options on cheaper smartwatches, Samsung has given me no chance to complain at all about this Galaxy Watch4. Already the Galaxy Wearable app has a variety of watch faces to choose from but if you need more, Samsung has a huge third-party marketplace where you will find hundreds of watch faces for yourself.

Also, developers making apps for this Galaxy Watch4 are more because of its popularity and in the future too the chance of customizing with time is endless. With Play Store app support you can easily download any app to your liking and it is highly likely that you will get the one per your need.

Key takeaways after buying Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999 after 1 month

Fluid Performance & Connectivity

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 bears a dual-core 1.18GHz Exynos processor paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB ROM which is enough for a smartwatch I would say. The daily performance is quite good and fluid as I never faced any stutter even keeping multiple apps open in the background but yes it is not as powerful compared to the Apple Watches.

Still, for most users, the performance won’t be an issue and in terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Watch4 is spot on with its Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Well, you can get the cellular variant but it is not worth the extra money you would pay because of the extra battery life drain, and Bluetooth calling is soo good that I kept on making calls from the watch itself with confidence.

The mic, speaker, and everything on this smartwatch is so polished that it kind of makes sense to go for it anyways. Lastly, storing songs on this watch, connecting to headphones directly, and playing them directly from your smartwatch is really easy as well as seamless. Overall, in this regard, with timely updates & improvements, the Galaxy Watch4 in 2022 is still a good choice.

The only problem – Battery Life & Charging

The biggest problem I would say that I faced with this Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is the poor battery life when used fully because as this is an advanced smartwatch it ends up drawing more power than usual. Much like the Apple Watch, this Galaxy Watch4 lasts about a day in typical usage with an Always-On display on and full usage.

With power saving mode you can stretch this to one and a half days, now again here comes the charging issue, having wireless charging support only takes around 2 hours to charge. This is very painful if you are traveling or have less time in your hands to charge and this is the biggest con of this smartwatch.

Is it worth buying the Galaxy Watch4 now for Rs.10k?

Verdict

Now, should you buy this Samsung Galaxy Watch4 for ₹9,999? Yes, absolutely because I feel this is quite a comfortable pricing to pay for a premium smartwatch in 2022 for its wide range of features, UI & software, and performance overall. Obviously, it has its battery issues, well, Apple Watch also has but still, people are buying and adapting to charge every day, yes, Samsung should work in the future.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022: England beats Sri Lanka to qualify for the semifinals, and Australia is out of the T20 World Cup race

0

England defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets to seal the second position in the semifinals. With the victory, they knocked out defending champions Australia from its year’s T20 World Cup. New Zealand was the first team to qualify for the semifinal.

Hales and Jos Buttler together piled up 75 runs in 44 deliveries but England had a tough time in the middle overs posting 129/6 in the 18th over. Chris Woakes hit the four in the final over. England went to the semi-finals and Australia got knocked out of the semifinals race.

Glenn Maxwell expressed his disappointment with Australia’s elimination

“There was a couple of games last year during the World Cup where we probably did I think – Bangladesh, West Indies, and Sri Lanka we played the complete game, almost back-to-back. They were clinical performances, we did the game quickly and were just pretty sharp in all areas of the game. We’ve probably missed a few opportunities this year. A couple of batters have got starts but haven’t gone big. I don’t think we’ve got any batters in the top five or six or ten-run scorers. We haven’t probably got the higher wicket takers either, it feels like we’ve just been chipping away, bits and pieces here and there.”

Credits- Hindustan Times

Australia got defeated to New Zealand in the very first game of the Super 12 stage. Several questions have been raised by the Australian media on the preparation for the tournament. Maxwell further stated it was the opponent team who executed their game in a better way.

England had been earlier defeated by Ireland but had won games against Afghanistan and New Zealand. They won over Sri Lanka and their current NRR is +0.547. In the points table, New Zealand tops the list followed by England.
