Wout Weghorst emerges as surprise target for Manchester United

0

Wout Weghorst could be on his way to Manchester United soon. The Netherlands international is currently on loan at Besiktas from Burnley. But, he could return to England to play in the Premier League with one of the biggest sides in the division.

After their recent 2-1 win over Kasimpasa, the striker appeared to wave goodbye to the fans. He has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 16 league games for Besiktas in 22/23. And, after his performances with the Netherlands at the World Cup, he could be on his way to Old Trafford.

Wout Weghorst linked with Manchester United transfer

The deal for the 6ft 6in forward will not be straightforward, though. As revealed by Besiktas head coach, Senol Gunes, there is no clause to recall the player in the middle of the season. Which means that he is expected to stay with the Turkish side until the summer.

However, an agreement will now have to be reached between Burnley and Besiktas to terminate the loan deal. Potentially, the Clarets might also have to pay compensation for recalling Wout Weghorst.

Erik Ten Hag has been vocal about Manchester United’s need for a new striker. And following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, they have been left short-staffed up front. A target man like Weghorst could add a whole new dimension to their game, and help the team finish the season strongly.

AMD Configures TjMax for its Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs at 89C than Non 3D V-Cache CPUs

AMD has chosen a conservative TjMax for its future Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs, which have Zen 4 cores and stacked 3D V-Cache. According to Andreas Schilling of Hardwareluxx, AMD has revised the maximum temperature limit, or TjMax, of its future Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs. The current Zen 4 series is rated at a TjMax of 95C, and while the CPUs can easily meet that target, AMD assures consumers that this type of operation is within spec. These high-temperature limitations appear to be the norm for AMD these days, since their GPUs have a peak temperature limit of up to 110C, which is called ‘Normal Spec’.

The TjMax of the AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs, which comprise the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7700X3D, is 89 degrees Celsius, which is 6 degrees Celsius lower than the TjMax of the Ryzen 7000 Non-3D CPUs. There’s a reason AMD set a lower temperature limit for its 3D V-Cache processors, and it’s also why manual overclocking isn’t supported on these parts.

AMD has set the maximum voltage of the Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs at 1.4V, which is 0.3V more than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

The new CPUs will include auto OC options like PBO and Curve Optimizer, but manual overclocking will be limited due to the volatile nature of the 3D V-Cache placed on top of the single CCD. High voltages and high temperatures can both cause unexpected behaviour or even damage to the semiconductor.

The hybrid layout of twin CCD SKUs like the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D is already optimised in Windows 11, although it remains to be seen how high temperatures will effect clock operation on these parts. To stay inside the 89C limit, you will undoubtedly need some high-end cooling solutions.

That could also explain why AMD chose a lower 120W TDP on the higher-end SKUs to keep them from utilising too much power and hitting the thermal wall. The following several weeks will be fascinating, and we can’t wait to learn more about AMD’s next generation of 3D V-Cache CPUs.

  • Liverpool 2-2 Wolves FT

The matches that ended in a draw will have a replay, as is the case in the FA Cup. The dates will be announced during the draw for Round 4.

Liverpool 2-2 Wolves

One of the biggest talking points from the game was the winning goal for Wolves that was chalked off. VAR decided to go with the original decision since they didn’t have the angle to determine whether there was an offside in the build-up play. And upon review, it seems to have been the right call.

Coventry 3-4 Wrexham

Non-league side Wrexham were able to stun Coventry in the FA Cup, after a seven-goal thriller. Ryan Reynolds’ team now has a place in the fourth round of the tournament after a miraculous display right from the beginning, which saw them survive a late scare to advance.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Newcastle United

Despite having a sensational Premier League run this season, Newcastle’s hopes for FA Cup glory have been ended by Sheffield Wednesday of the third tier. A brace from Josh Windass was enough to get them over the line against the Magpies, who will be disappointed that they weren’t able to make it further into the tournament.

Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset – Everything You Need to Know

There have been numerous speculations regarding Apple developing a top-secret headphone project in recent months. However, the conversation has also gotten more confusing. Apple is apparently aiming to use mixed reality (MR) instead of just virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR), but how precisely would that work? How will the gadget appear? What characteristics will it possess?

Screenshot 20230107 040649 Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset - Everything You Need to Know

This roundup fills that need. The most recent important information is culled from the rumours and reports, and it is then compiled in one handy place. Here is all the information we currently have regarding Apple’s impending mixed-reality headset, including its cost, specs, and more.

Availability and Cost

Apple’s headset has not appeared to get any closer to us as time has gone on. With a gadget as big as a mixed-reality headset, it is probably to be expected, but it means we shouldn’t anticipate it any time soon. The Information has provided information regarding the pricing, indicating that it would be $3,000, but has not provided any further information. With a cost that high, it would probably only be used by businesses. That’d put it in competition with Microsoft’s $3,500 HoloLens 2. For Apple, this may appear strange.

Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset

In contrast, a January 2022 study from Display Supply Chain Consultants asserted that the cost would be “several thousand dollars” and that because of the high cost, the first-generation model will be targeted towards professionals and developers. Consequently, the high price may have a basis. Kuo’s initial pricing proposal was $1,000, which was significantly less. As a result, the headset is once again regarded as a consumer item and falls more in line with what everyone would anticipate from Apple: pricey but nonetheless mainstream and consumer-oriented. However, Kuo later increased that forecast to $2,000, while Mark Gurman projected the same price in August 2022.

2 10 Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset - Everything You Need to Know

Specifications

According to the sources, Apple has boosted its target for each eyepiece’s pixel density from 2,800 ppi to a whopping 3,500 ppi. That might give the headset’s creations unparalleled clarity. Additionally, according to rumours, Apple’s device will be entirely wireless, allowing you to walk around freely without fear of being dragged back by wires, another immersive experience. It will include 15 cameras, eight for augmented reality, one for environmental sensing, and six for cutting-edge biometrics, according to leaks.

Ruslan Malinovskyi to join Marseille on loan with €12m obligation to buy

0

Ruslan Malinovskyi is expected to join Marseille in the coming days, following a deal agreed with Atalanta for his signature. The midfielder will be making the move on an initial loan deal with a mandatory buy option that will come into play during the summer.

The buy option is valued at €12 million, and will also have bonuses to take the amount higher. The Ukrainian has agreed a long-term contract with the Ligue 1 club, and it seems to be only a matter of time before the transfer is completed.

Ruslan Malinovskyi to join Marseille in the coming days

One of the main reasons behind the switch is the lack of rapport between Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini and Malinovskyi. This has led to decreased opportunities, and he is now set to take up a new challenge in a new country.

Atalanta owe 10% of the transfer fee they receive for him to his former club, Genk. They had signed Ruslan Malinovskyi in 2019 for a fee worth €13.6 million, and since then, he has made 143 appearances scoring 30 goals and providing 28 assists.

Tottenham Hotspur were one of the clubs interested in signing him, but Marseille have surged ahead in negotiations. And they are now the favourites to wrap up the deal in the coming days.

Intel Raptor Lake Core i5-13500HX outshines AMDs Ryzen 9 6900HX in Geekbench Performance

Intel introduced new mobile processors, including the Core i5-13500HX, a few days ago. This CPU is now highlighted in the Geekbench database, allowing you to assess its performance. And it’s quite good: 1711 points in a single-threaded test and 11,319 points in a multi-threaded test.

Not only did the Core i5-13500HX outperform the Core i5-12600HX (1700 and 9235 points, respectively), but it also outperformed the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX (1564 and 9863 points, respectively). Of course, with the new AMD Ryzen 7000 mobile processors, the Core i5-13500HX will face much tougher competition, but overall, the result is very good for the Core i5 CPU line.

The Core i5-13500HX processor has 14 cores (with 7 high-performance cores and 8 energy efficient ones). It can run at up to 4.7 GHz and has 20 threads. The TDP is set at 55W by default, but it can be increased if the cooling system allows for more heat dissipation.

The Intel Core i5-13500HX is a 14-core mobile processor that was released in January 2023. It is a Core i5 processor with the Raptor Lake-HX architecture and BGA 1964. Intel Hyper-Threading effectively doubles the core count to 20 threads. The Core i5-13500HX has 24MB of L3 cache and runs at 2.5 GHz by default, with the ability to boost to 4.7 GHz depending on the workload. The Core i5-13500HX is manufactured by Intel on a 10 nm process; the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is set to Core i5-13500HX, limiting its ability to overclock.

Intel

While the Intel Core i5-single-core 13500HX’s performance boost isn’t spectacular, it will almost surely perform better with reliable drivers.

The Core i5-13500HX consumes typical power levels for a modern PC, with a TDP of 55 W. With a dual-channel interface, Intel’s processor supports DDR4 and DDR5 memory. ECC memory is also supported, which is critical for mission-critical systems to avoid data corruption. The Core i5-13500HX communicates with other system components via a PCI-Express Gen 5 connection. This processor includes the integrated graphics solution UHD Graphics 710.

The Core i5-13500HX supports hardware virtualization, which significantly improves virtual machine performance. Additionally, IOMMU virtualization (PCI passthrough) is supported, allowing guest virtual machines to use host hardware directly. This processor will run programmes that use Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX), which will improve performance for calculation-intensive applications. In addition to AVX, Intel includes the newer AVX2 standard, but not AVX-512.

Lenovo unveiled the worlds first OLED Dual-Screen Laptop at the CES 2023

At CES 2023, Lenovo announced numerous new laptops. From gaming notebooks to new dual-screen laptops, the tech behemoth combined power and ingenuity to give some outstanding computing solutions at CES 2023.

The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, the world’s first full-sized OLED dual-screen laptop, is one of the most intriguing. The Yoga Book 9i merges two PureSight OLED displays into a single cascade screen, while the two screens can be used separately as well. The laptop is powered by Intel’s Evo platform and runs Windows 11. A Bluetooth keyboard, stylus pen, and folio stand are all included with the notebook.

The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is a Windows 11 “multimode+” notebook that runs on Intel’s Evo platform.

The battery is designed to last all day without needing to be recharged. The Bowers and Wilkins speakers provide 360o of sound to the soundbar. The keyboard is Bluetooth and removable, and the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i has a stylus pen and folio screen stand. The launch window is expected to be in the summer of 2023.

The distinctive design of Lenovo’s Yoga Book 9i is appealing in that the firm does not consider this to be a tablet or 2-in-1 system. Furthermore, the addition of a folding design, where Samsung took CES 2023 by storm this year with its seamless, foldable design, differs in that it is two independent displays that are the same size, expanding screen area when both sides are in Portrait mode.

Productivity has also been a major focus at CES this year, with more businesses looking to build larger displays so that users can open multiple windows. Most PC users who utilise ultrawide monitors have enough screen space to have email, web browser, and apps on one screen while still having plenty of breathing room.

Lenovo’s distinctive design for the Yoga Book 9i appears to leverage on this same design component for laptop consumers, which may encourage additional businesses to focus on powerful laptops with dual displays or other inventive designs. In addition, 18-inch laptops made a comeback at CES this year after being absent from the market for nearly a decade. This year could be the year when productivity reigns supreme in the digital hybrid workplaces that have emerged in recent years.

Caglar Soyuncu to Atletico Madrid almost done for 2023

Atletico Madrid are trying to surge ahead in their pursuit of Leicester City centre-back Caglar Soyuncu. The player has only six months remaining on his deal with the Foxes, with a renewal looking unlikely.

His form has been quite inconsistent over the last few seasons. At times, he has shown up and been indispensable to the team. But he has also been found lacking composure in many situations – and the plan for him could be to move on soon.

Caglar Soyuncu expected to move to Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are trying to talk about a deal for Caglar Soyuncu in the ongoing transfer window itself. But, even if they fail to do so, the defender could be on the move during the summer transfer window as a free agent.

There seems to be a verbal agreement with the player about his future as an Atletico Madrid player. And in the coming days, talks will be held between the two clubs to work out a deal, if possible.

The 26-year-old is entering his physical peak years, and could be a very valuable asset under a coach like Diego Simeone. Perhaps a new environment could bring back his confidence that made him one of the top defenders in the division at one point during his time with Leicester.
