Qualcomm is making progress with its Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4, which could be the company’s Apple M2 competitor if it performs as expected. According to an earlier development, the company’s first sample operates at 3.00GHz, but the clock speed is lower than what was previously reported. Here are some additional details that may be of interest to you.

We don’t know if the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 will include the company’s custom Oryon cores, which Qualcomm announced a while ago in order to truly compete with Apple. According to reports, this chipset will have a 12-core CPU configuration, with eight performance cores and four power-efficiency cores. According to the update provided by @Za Raczke, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 is sampled at a lower clock speed of 3.00GHz.

Previously, we received reports of the same tipster’s specifications leak, claiming that the eight performance cores will run at 3.40GHz, while the power efficiency cores will run at 2.50GHz. Qualcomm could have sampled a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 running at a lower frequency to see how the chipset would perform in a thin-and-light laptop chassis.

If the first Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4 sample outperforms Qualcomm’s expectations in thermal management, we may see updated versions with faster clock speeds. Furthermore, the tipster mentions that this SoC is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process but does not specify whether it is the N4 variant or a different one. This is most likely because Qualcomm will release the chipset a little later than usual, so it is critical that it is manufactured on a more advanced manufacturing process to give Apple some competition.

AMD recently introduced its Phoenix APUs, which will be available on laptops as the Ryzen 7040 series, but it appears that the company is also working on a second revision known as Phoenix 2. There have been reports of a second AMD Phoenix 2 APU for some time now, but the most recent occurrence of the chip was discovered within Coreboot patches that list both the Phoenix (1) and Phoenix (2) APUs. The AMD Phoenix 2 APU, as discovered by Coelacanth-Dream, is not the same as the standard Phoenix APUs and has certain differences that make it an entirely new SKU. It remains to be seen whether Phoenix 2 will be released.

Moving on, the AMD Phoenix APUs are identified by two GFX1103 “RDNA 3” IDs. The first of these IDs is the standard GFX1103 R1, which has 512 KB of L2 cache.

The second, GFX1103 R2, has half the L2 cache (256 KB). The Phoenix 2 APU appears to be the successor to the Mendocino APUs and could be targeted at low-power mobility platforms, with the next-generation Steam Deck handheld console being one of the many possible implementations of this chip. Moore’s Law is Dead has also previously highlighted this.

According to Kepler L2, who has been following the Phoenix 2 APUs for a while now, the new chips will also have a lower compute unit count, making them sound like a more conservative version of the Phoenix APUs. It will be fascinating to see the efficiency numbers produced by the Phoenix 2 APUs. The first AMD Phoenix APUs will be available on laptops in March 2023, so we can expect an update on the Phoenix 2 parts later that year.

The last episode of the anime covers the National Competition arc. The anime follows the storyline of the webtoon, the next arc will cover the Jin Taejin arc. 

Jin Taejin visited North Korea due to an enormous energy reading emanating from there. When he gets closer to the hotspot, there is a massive gorilla instead of a nuclear missile. 

After the confrontation of the series along with the monkey and enemies, he gets a crystal that contains the infantile Jin Mori. The God of High School Manhwa is almost finished, at the conclusion of the series is at work. We are expecting that the final chapter of this 11-year-old manhwa will include some good news about the second season of the anime series.

Microcenter is slashing prices on Intel’s 13th Generation Raptor Lake CPUs ahead of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D launch. While Intel has denied any price cuts on its older 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs, some retailers have begun discounting the 13th Gen Raptor Lake lineup in anticipation of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D launch at the end of this month. The three unlocked “K” processors are among the price cuts.

To begin with, the Intel Core i9-13900K, which has an RCP (Recommended Customer Price) of $599 US, is now available for $529.99 US, a $70 US savings. The Core i7-13700K CPU has an RRP of $419.99 US and is now available for $329.99 US, a $90 US savings, and the i5-13600K is now available for $249.99 US, a $80 US savings from its RRP of $329.99 US.

All three Intel CPUs are readily available for purchase at Microcenter, but keep in mind that they are only available for in-store pickup.

One could interpret this as a response to AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs, which will be available by the end of this month, but if Intel truly wanted to set these prices as a competitive move, we would have seen them across multiple retailers, which isn’t the case here. That is not to say that other retailers will not follow Microcenter’s lead and offer their own discounts, but we haven’t seen many deals from the rest of the market so far.

The Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs are appealing to gamers, and the recent Ryzen 7000 Non-X chips have been well received due to their high efficiency and comparable performance to the “X” series parts. Intel will not have any new options until the end of 2023, when they plan to release their updated Raptor Lake lineup.

Intel’s 14th Generation Meteor Lake CPUs are expected to be released later this year, with a focus on the mobility platform first. The chips will be the first to use chiplet technology as well as a hybrid x86 core architecture. According to a highly credible leaker and insider, OneRaichu, the 14th Gen Intel Meteor Lake CPUs are aiming for significant performance and efficiency gains.

Intel’s 14th-Gen Meteor Lake CPUs will have a brand new core architecture for both P-Cores and E-Cores, and while the hybrid implementation will be retained, the CPU itself will use several other IPs that will be fused together via multiple chiplets.

The Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPUs are said to prioritise mobility, and while a desktop lineup was planned, those plans are said to have been scrapped.

But, returning to the details, the Meteor Lake CPUs are said to target a performance per watt (efficiency) increase of more than 50% over the current generation. This is a significant increase in efficiency, as AMD’s Zen 4 architecture delivered a >25% increase in performance per watt when it launched last year. Raptor Lake (Raptor Cove + Gracemont) perf per watt is compared to Meteor Lake using a similar core processor.

But that’s not all; the leaker also claims that Intel’s Meteor Lake CPUs will benefit from a twofold increase in GPU performance thanks to the new tGPU or Tiled-GPU architecture, which will include new Xe GPU cores. The specific configuration is said to include 128 Execution units with clock speeds exceeding 2.0 GHz.

According to Raja Koduri, the Meteor Lake CPUs will use a tiled Arc graphics-powered GPU, creating an entirely new class of graphics on a chip. It is neither an iGPU nor a dGPU and is now known as a tGPU (Tiled GPU / Next-Gen Graphics Engine). Meteor Lake CPUs will use the all-new Xe-HPG graphics architecture, which will enable increased performance while maintaining the same level of power efficiency as existing integrated GPUs.

With a 2x performance boost and all those juicy features, AMD’s RDNA 3 GPUs in the same integrated space may face some stiff competition. NVIDIA may also face additional pressure from the rapidly evolving integrated GPU market, with both AMD and Intel delivering significant generation-over-generation gains.

According to Intel, the 14th Generation Meteor Lake CPUs will feature a brand new tiled architecture, which essentially means that the company has decided to go full chiplet. The Meteor Lake CPUs have four main tiles. The IO Tile, SOC Tile, GFX Tile, and Compute Tile are all available. The Compute Tile is made up of the CPU Tile and the GFX Tile. The CPU Tile will use a new hybrid core design comprised of Redwood Cove P-Cores and Crestmont E-Cores to deliver higher performance at lower power.

The midfielder has failed to get a foothold in the starting line-up, with injuries preventing him from making the starting eleven consistently. And now, he could be moved on with no plans for him to stay beyond the current year.

The Guinean made the move to Merseyside from RB Leipzig in 2018 in a deal worth €60 million. But, while he has provided a number of solid performances, he has been very inconsistent and hasn’t quite been able to live up to expectations. 

The soon-to-be 28-year-old has interest from Inter Milan, who could sign him as a free agent when he leaves. This season, he has only played 442 minutes across all competitions, and is quite far down in the pecking order. 

Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott have been given the nod ahead of the former Guinea international in central midfield by Jurgen Klopp. As a result, Naby Keita no longer seems to be a part of the sporting project for Klopp any further. 

Decisions will also be made about the futures of James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer. The midfield is the area that requires the most improvement right now for the club, and Matheus Nunes is one of the players that have been identified to make the move to Anfield.
