OnMobile Global Limited has officially entered India’s console gaming market with the launch of its ONMO+ Smart Console on Flipkart, effective July 1, 2026. The new offering aims to provide a cloud-based gaming experience across multiple devices, including TVs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, without requiring expensive traditional gaming hardware.

The initiative leverages Flipkart’s extensive e-commerce network to enhance accessibility for high-performance gaming nationwide. The launch comes amidst a period of significant expansion in India’s gaming sector, where the increasing cost and complexity of dedicated gaming PCs and consoles often present barriers to entry for a broader audience.

ONMO+ Smart Console: Addressing Market Gaps with Accessible Gaming

ONMO+ seeks to bridge this gap by offering a comprehensive, ready-to-play solution. This package includes the Smart Console, cross-platform access, a library of “hundreds of ready-to-play games,” and a Pro Controller. The system is designed to cater to both casual and dedicated gamers, with the capability to run compatible AAA titles on custom-built gaming GPU servers. These servers are powered by AMD and AsRock Rack technology and are strategically deployed across northern and southern India to ensure low latency and high performance.

François-Charles Sirois, Executive Chairman & CEO of OnMobile Global Limited (https://onmobile.com/), highlighted the strategic intent behind the launch. “Gaming represents one of the world’s fastest-growing entertainment sectors. With ONMO+, our objective is to democratize premium gaming experiences by removing the typical barriers associated with traditional console setups,” Sirois stated. He further noted that the launch signifies a pivotal expansion for OnMobile, transitioning from its established B2B operations to directly engaging consumers through Flipkart, a partner recognized for introducing innovative product categories.

Sujith Agashe, Vice President, Electronics, Flipkart, commented on the collaboration: “Flipkart is committed to broadening consumer choices across India, focusing on delivering access to the latest technological advancements and experiences. We are pleased to partner with ONMO+ to enable consumers to enjoy a console-quality gaming experience on their existing screens.”
