ONMO+ Cloud Gaming Launches in India at ₹4,999 with Pro Controller, 3-Month Subscription

ONMO+ Cloud Gaming Launched: India’s cloud gaming space just got a new, unexpected entrant — and it’s coming from a company you wouldn’t immediately associate with gaming hardware. OnMobile Global, long known for mobile value-added services, has launched ONMO+, a Smart Console bundle aimed squarely at mainstream Indian gamers.

ONMO+ Cloud Gaming Launch: What You Actually Get for ₹4,999

According to Smartprix’s launch report, the ONMO+ bundle is available now on Flipkart and includes:

Rather than running games on local hardware, the ONMO+ console acts purely as a client — it streams the actual gameplay from OnMobile’s remote GPU servers over the internet, with the controller working across any compatible screen.

Why Local Servers Are the Real Story

Cloud gaming lives or dies on latency, and that’s exactly where OnMobile is making its biggest bet. By deploying custom GPU servers in both North and South India rather than relying on distant data centers, the company is trying to solve the lag problem that has historically held cloud gaming back for Indian users specifically.

The platform also supports streaming titles you already own on other platforms, alongside its own catalogue featuring games like The Forgotten City, Arise: A Simple Story, and Gravity Circuit — a mix of indie and mid-tier titles rather than blockbuster AAA exclusives.

How ONMO+ Stacks Up Against the Competition

ONMO+’s pitch is fairly distinct: a one-time bundled cost upfront rather than a pure recurring subscription, paired with infrastructure built specifically for Indian network conditions. Whether that’s enough to compete with established names like Nvidia’s GeForce Now remains to be seen.

Why This Matters for Indian Gamers

Most Indian gamers play primarily on phones and have never owned a dedicated console or gaming PC. Cloud gaming, in theory, removes that hardware barrier entirely — letting people access console-quality titles on devices they already own. The catch has always been broadband reliability, which still varies significantly outside major cities.

The Bottom Line

ONMO+’s aggressive ₹4,999 pricing and locally deployed servers make it a genuinely interesting new option in India’s increasingly crowded cloud gaming field. The real test will be how it performs on actual Indian broadband and 5G networks day-to-day — something only real-world usage will confirm.
