Planning a trip to Saudi Arabia just got a whole lot less complicated. The kingdom has rolled out Package Visa, a fully digital initiative that bundles your visa application directly into your travel booking, cutting out one of the biggest hassles travelers usually face.

What’s Package Visa Buzz About?

Instead of juggling separate applications for flights, hotels, and a tourist visa, eligible travelers can now book everything, including events and experiences, through a single integrated process via qualified travel and tourism service providers. The rollout is currently live across selected international markets, with a wider expansion expected soon.

Package Visa

This isn’t Saudi’s first move to make entry easier. Since launching its tourist e-Visa, the country has already introduced visa-on-arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa, steadily removing friction for international visitors. The results speak for themselves: Saudi welcomed over 29 million inbound visitors in 2025 alone.

Saudi Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, said Package Visa reflects the country’s commitment to making travel more seamless, noting that integrating visa issuance with bookings creates a more connected experience while strengthening collaboration across the tourism ecosystem.

Why It Matters

For travelers, this means fewer steps between deciding to visit and actually landing in the country. For travel agencies and tour operators, it opens the door to richer, more attractive packages that could encourage longer stays. It’s a clear signal of how Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as an increasingly accessible global destination, backed by consistent policy shifts rather than one-off announcements.

With tourism now a central pillar of the country’s economic diversification push, Package Visa is less a standalone scheme and more the next logical step in a much bigger journey.
