What Is Bethlehem Kudumba Unit About?
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is expected to be a romantic comedy starring Nivin Pauly in the lead, with Mamitha Baiju as the co-lead. Interestingly, the project was announced some time ago after speculation suggested that Premalu 2 had been shelved. Soccerway
With Premalu director Girish AD at the helm and the powerhouse trio of Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran producing — this film carries enormous creative credibility before a single frame has been officially shown. If Premalu‘s warmth is any benchmark, expectations are sky-high. Learn more about the Onam festival’s cultural significance and how it shapes Kerala’s box office on Wikipedia.

The Onam 2026 Box Office Clash
This Onam is shaping up to be one of the most competitive festive windows Malayalam cinema has seen in years. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action drama Khalifa is scheduled to release on August 20, 2026, coinciding with Onam. Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game also wrapped its shoot after more than 100 days of production and was announced for an Onam 2026 release. With multiple major films targeting the same festive window, a three-way box office clash currently seems likely. Soccerway
Three superstars. Three genres. One festival window. Malayalam audiences are in for a treat — but the real winner will be whoever captures that Onam spirit most authentically.
