“OK, Let’s Get Divorced” Brings A Refreshingly Honest Take On Marriage’s Messiest Chapter

Not every K-drama needs a dramatic villain or a fantasy twist to hook viewers. Sometimes real life — and a couple deciding their marriage has run its course — is drama enough. That’s exactly the territory “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” is stepping into.

OK, Let’s Get Divorced- Drama

The upcoming series follows a married couple who run a wedding dress shop together and decide to end their marriage after years of an exhausting relationship, led by Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Suk. Directed by Joo Sung Woo and written by Hwang Ji Eon, the drama recently held its first script reading, bringing together the cast and creative team ahead of production.

The Story At Its Core

The drama takes a realistic look at divorce, centering on a couple who built a business together — a bridal shop — only to find their personal relationship falling apart under the weight of everyday married life. It’s an ironic setup: two people who help other couples prepare for their weddings, while quietly working through the end of their own marriage.

Meet The Cast

Lee Min Jung plays Baek Mi Young, CEO of G&White, a character caught between the demands of family and work. Her performance during the script reading was praised for capturing the emotional complexity of a woman wrestling with the decision to divorce. Alongside Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Suk, the drama also features Lee Hyun Jin, Lee Jini, Jung Eui Jae, and Wang Bit Na rounding out the ensemble.

Strong Chemistry From Day One

According to the production team, all the actors began deeply immersing themselves in their characters from the moment the official script reading began. Reports from the session noted that the cast displayed strong chemistry together, reinforcing the story’s emotional appeal ahead of filming. Lee Min Jung herself expressed hope that audiences would support a drama that feels close to real life, describing it as a blend of humor and heartfelt emotion.

Why This Story Resonates
