NVIDIA’s Supercharged GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series: A New Frontier in Gaming and AI-Powered PCs

NVIDIA, a global leader in visual computing, has unveiled its latest powerhouse, the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series family of GPUs. This series comprises the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. These GPUs are designed to boost the performance of contemporary games and form the backbone of AI-powered PCs.

Based on NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture, these GPUs deliver an impressive output of up to 52 shader TFLOPS, 121 RT TFLOPS, and 836 AI TOPS. Such power enhances gaming and creative experiences and fuels the development of new entertainment worlds. The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, with prices starting from $599, is set to disrupt the gaming market.

Unparalleled Visual Quality for Gaming Enthusiasts

PC gamers seek exceptional visual quality, and NVIDIA’s AI-powered Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) delivers just that. DLSS combines Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction with ray tracing to offer stunning visuals in games such as Diablo IV, Pax Dei, and Horizon Forbidden West. With DLSS, AI can generate seven out of eight pixels, accelerating full ray tracing by up to 4x and enhancing image quality.

According to Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at NVIDIA, “GeForce RTX SUPER GPUs offer incredible upgrades for everyone, from gaming enthusiasts to creative professionals. With support for more than 500 RTX games and applications, these GPUs equip users to embrace the upcoming wave of generative AI apps.”

Revolutionizing PC Computing with AI

The GeForce RTX 40 SUPER GPUs propel AI experiences on PCs to a new level. Specialized AI Tensor Cores offer up to 836 AI TOPS, transforming capabilities for AI in gaming, creativity, and everyday productivity. The comprehensive software stack built on RTX GPUs further accelerates AI performance.

NVIDIA’s TensorRT™, a high-performance deep learning inference optimizer and runtime software, delivers low latency and high throughput for inference applications. The open-source library TensorRT-LLM for Windows enhances inference performance for large language models. In AI workloads, the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER outperforms the RTX 3080 Ti, generating video 1.5x faster and images 1.7x faster.

For gamers, AI-powered DLSS offers immersive in-game experiences. Generative AI applications, like Adobe Photoshop, leverage Tensor Cores to boost productivity and maintain smooth creative workflows. NVIDIA Broadcast enhances productivity by eliminating background noise and providing seamless virtual backgrounds.

The Powerhouses of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series

The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, available from $999 starting January 31, is designed for fully ray-traced games in 4K resolution. It outperforms the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti by 1.4x sans DLSS Frame Generation. With 836 AI TOPS, DLSS Frame Generation provides an additional performance boost, making the RTX 4080 SUPER twice as fast as the RTX 3080 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, available from $799 starting January 24, is perfect for enjoying games at super-high frame rates at 1440p and up to 4K. Compared to the RTX 4070 Ti, it has more cores, an increased frame buffer to 16GB, and a 256-bit memory bus, delivering a significant memory bandwidth increase to 672 GB/sec. It is 1.6x faster than the RTX 3070 Ti and 2.5x faster with DLSS 3.

The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, available from $599 starting January 17, comes with 20% more cores than the RTX 4070, making it faster than an RTX 3090 at a fraction of the power. With DLSS 3, its speed increases by 1.5x.

With the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series, NVIDIA continues to redefine the landscape of gaming and AI-powered PCs, offering users unrivaled performance and capabilities.
