NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti specs confirmed, performs almost like RTX 3090 in Geekbench

NVIDIA will announce its highly anticipated RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti GPUs at its Computex Keynote to be held on 31st May. Well, even before that, we have the full specs leaked of the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti, all thanks to the GPU-Z validator.

The NVIDIA GA102-225 GPU comes with a PCI Device ID of 2208; now, a validation from TechPowerUP’s GPU-Z monitoring tool confirms the entire specs. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will sport a base clock of 1365 MHz and a boost of 1665 MHz.

Now, this is combined with 10240 CUDA cores that provide a maximum theoretical single-precision compute performance of 34.1 TFLOPs, which is very much comparable with RTX 3090’s 35.6 TFLOPs computer performance. The RTX 3080 Ti will feature a faster 12GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 1188 MHz.

As the GPU comes with a 384-bit wide bus, the RTX 3080 Ti will have a maximum bandwidth of 912.4 GB/s. The GPU-Z validation also mentions the GPU will come with a 350W TDP, and so, the RTX 3080 Ti will finally launch on June 4th and before that the launch price will also be revealed by the graphics giant.

Performance: Comparable to the RTX 3090?

Obviously, we are keen to see the performance of this graphics card, and you will be glad to know it is great. The upcoming RTX 3080 Ti scores 238603 points in Geekbench’s CUDA graphics benchmark, which is very close to the score of RTX 3090 with a max score of 239003 points.

Whereas, if you compare with the regular RTX 3080, which score 203298 points, this is a huge improvement. Apart from closing the performance gap between the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature both crypto mining hash limiter and ResizableBAR support out of the box. The success of this GPU will totally depend on its gaming price/performance ratio and stocks.
