Megan Thee Stallion took to social media to express her excitement about the project, stating, “This is one of the best lyrics I’ve ever heard from RM. This is the first time I’ve heard RM rap in this style.” This praise from Megan highlights the unique nature of the track and suggests that RM’s contribution will bring something fresh and innovative to the table.

Fan Reactions and Speculations

The collaboration has sparked significant interest among fans, especially after BigHit Music, BTS’ management company, reposted Megan Thee Stallion’s announcement on social media. The post included emojis of a hedgehog and a koala, which fans quickly connected to BTS’ BT21 stickers, where RM is represented by a hedgehog and Megan’s blue hair could be linked to the koala character. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of “Neva Play,” with many hoping that the song will feature a blend of both artists’ signature styles. The anticipation is further fueled by the successful past collaborations between Megan Thee Stallion and BTS, particularly their remix of BTS’ hit song “Butter.”
