Six major titles, one mega-panel, and a Night City return nobody saw coming. Anime NYC returns to the Javits Center from August 20 to 23, and Netflix is going all in with a single blockbuster mega-panel packed with major announcements. Instead of spreading news across the weekend, the streamer is dropping everything at once on opening night, and the lineup includes a genuine surprise: a sequel to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
What’s Happening At The Panel
Titled “Netflix Presents: Cyberpunk, SAKAMOTO DAYS, LEGO ONE PIECE and More!”, the panel takes place Thursday, August 20 at 6:45 PM EST on the Main Stage, hosted by JuJu Green, with special guests Brian Tyree Henry and Jacob Romero confirmed to appear. Panel reservations are recommended, though a standby line will open on-site for anyone hoping to grab a last-minute spot.
Cyberpunk: Six Titles Confirmed For The Panel
| Title | What To Expect |
|---|---|
| Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II | Sequel to Trigger’s acclaimed original series |
| LEGO One Piece | Non-canon Straw Hats adventure narrated by Usopp |
| Blue Eye Samurai (Season 2) | Mizu’s story continues after award-sweeping Season 1 |
| Sakamoto Days (Season 2) | Taro Sakamoto returns for more hitman action-comedy |
| Fool Night | Dark sci-fi adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda’s manga |
| Bass X Machina | Steampunk Western original from Studio Mir, out this November |
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II is easily the biggest surprise, given how definitively the first season ended. The teaser hints at a story exploring how far people go for relevance in a spectacle-driven world, though it’s unclear whether familiar faces from Night City will return or if a new crew takes center stage. Blue Eye Samurai’s Season 2 confirmation also excites fans, following the show’s sweep of major animation awards, continuing the broader wave of prestige anime that has increasingly found global audiences through streaming platforms.
