“Band Karo Yeh Sab”: Neha Dhupia’s Fiery Message to Paparazzi

Neha Dhupia is known for her warmth on camera — but off it, she just drew a hard line. The actress-host confronted a group of Mumbai paparazzi in Hindi, telling them to stop filming disrespectful back shots of female celebrities, and the moment has since gone viral.

Neha Dhupia: Overview

What Happened

Leaving an awards ceremony, Dhupia came face-to-face with photographers and didn’t hold back. She called out the practice of filming women from behind without consent, bluntly telling the group to “band karo yeh sab” — stop all of it. She pointed out that celebrities have repeatedly asked for basic boundaries — no more backward walking, no more bag-and-book tricks to force extra footage — and said enough was enough.

Before walking off, she asked a few photographers to pass the message along to their colleagues, stressing that the mutual respect between celebrities and the media shouldn’t be one-sided.

Not an Isolated Incident

Dhupia’s outburst adds to a growing list of Bollywood stars pushing back against invasive paparazzi behavior. Janhvi Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan have both previously criticized photographers for shooting intrusive angles. Sonakshi Sinha was recently seen visibly uncomfortable at a restaurant, politely asking cameramen to stop following her to her car. And Salman Khan made headlines earlier this year after losing his temper at photographers attempting to film him during a hospital visit.

Why This Keeps Happening

The paparazzi culture around Bollywood has intensified dramatically over the last decade, driven by social media’s appetite for candid celebrity content. This tension between public interest and personal privacy isn’t unique to India — it mirrors long-standing global debates around paparazzi ethics and celebrity boundaries that have played out in Hollywood and European tabloid culture for decades.
