Some bosses can run a billion-dollar empire but completely fumble a simple conversation with their crush, and that’s exactly the charm tvN is banking on with its upcoming romance drama. My Bias, My Boss has unveiled the first official stills of Kang Hoon in character, and fans are already buzzing. For more upcoming K-drama previews, check out the Technosports Korean entertainment hub.
Based on a popular webtoon, the series follows Nam Da Reum, played by Kim Hye Joon, who joins a company specifically to meet her long-time celebrity bias, only to find herself drawn into an unexpected romance with the company’s CEO, Kang Ha Gi.
Kang Hoon takes on the role of Kang Ha Gi, the self-made CEO of fashion platform Apello. He’s described as a near-perfect boss: sharp business instincts, an impressive build, and a meticulous eye for detail that earned him the nickname “Kangtail.” Alongside his longtime friend Lee Chan, played by Cha Woo Min, Kang Ha Gi transformed a tiny fashion shop into a thriving platform for emerging designers, a trajectory that mirrors how real-world fashion startups have scaled in the competitive e-commerce space.
But for all his professional polish, Kang Ha Gi turns into an entirely different person when it comes to romance, awkward, guarded, and struggling to trust the people closest to him. Things get complicated fast when he starts developing feelings for a new employee, setting up the workplace romance tension fans love.
