MSD Is Back in the Yellow! MS Dhoni Arrives in Chennai & Begins IPL 2026 Preparations !

Let’s be honest — the moment MS Dhoni is spotted in Chennai with his kit bag, it doesn’t matter what else is happening in cricket. The internet erupts. Fans lose their minds. And for good reason.

The 44-year-old legend has touched down in the Tamil Nadu capital and has already begun pre-season preparations alongside his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammates, with the squad hitting the nets on Sunday for their first training session ahead of IPL 2026. The BCCI is yet to officially release the tournament schedule, but CSK aren’t waiting around.

The Dhoni Question Everyone Is Asking

Will he play every match? Probably not. Reports suggest Dhoni may not feature across the full season — especially after the trade that brought Sanju Samson to Chennai from Rajasthan Royals. Samson’s arrival gives CSK a world-class wicketkeeper-batter, potentially easing the workload on Dhoni and allowing him to be deployed strategically.

Still, just seeing him back in the yellow jersey and training with purpose gives CSK fans every reason to smile after a tough 2025 campaign where the five-time champions finished dead last. A bounce-back season feels personal for this squad.

The Indian Premier League has always been defined by moments — and Dhoni’s presence at the crease still creates them like no one else can.
