Most expensive XI in the world in 2021

The transfer market of a player reflects the amount of money that clubs across the world would be willing to pay for their services. The most valuable XI is without the likes of Messi and Ronaldo this time around. However, the lineup fielded is strong enough to possibly win the Champions League on their own this season.

Here are the players:

GK – Jan Oblak: €70 million

Oblak has been the reason behind Atletico Madrid’s success over the last few years. As a result, he is the most valued keeper in the world ahead of Thibaut Courtois and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The PSG captain has established himself as one of the best in recent years, taking the Parisians to their first Champions League final in history, and now captaining the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gigi Donnarumma, Neymar and Mbappe.

CB – Ruben Dias: €75 million

CM – Bruno Fernandes: €90 million

Since arriving at Manchester United, the Portuguese midfielder has been the focal point of the attack. His contributions helped United qualify for the Champions League last season, and he is already being linked with a new contract at Old Trafford.

CM – Kevin De Bruyne: €100 million

The Manchester City star has bagged two PFA Player of the Year awards in succession and has shown time and time again why he is a versatile attacking threat for the team. As a result, he is the most expensive midfielder in the world.

RM – Mohamed Salah: €100 million

The Egyptian wide man recently hit the 100-goal mark in the Premier League and has won the Golden Boot on two separate occasions in England. At 29 years of age, Salah is in his prime and is rightfully valued at €100 million on the market.

LM – Neymar: €100 million

ST – Kylian Mbappe: €160 million

Mbappe is the only teenager to score in a World Cup final after the legendary Pele and has already established himself as a top performer for PSG.
