From Minions to Malta: Your Binge-Worthy Hollywood Watchlist for This Week

Some weeks give you one good release. This one gives you nine — and honestly, your watchlist just got crowded (in the best way).

Whether you’re a theater person or a strictly-couch-and-remote type, June 29–July 5 has something worth your time. Silent-film Minions, a broody Robin Hood, and Enola Holmes chasing a kidnapping case in Malta — let’s break it all down.

This Week’s Hollywood Full Lineup

A Quick Look at Each One

Minions & Monsters sends the yellow menaces to 1920s Hollywood, where they’re silent-film stars until “talkies” wreck their careers — so they pivot to making their own monster movie, with predictably chaotic results.

The Death of Robin Hood trades swashbuckling nostalgia for grit. Hugh Jackman plays an aging, self-exiled outlaw whose quiet life unravels when a mysterious woman and an orphaned girl force him to face his past — a darker, more grounded spin on the legend.

Young Washington rewinds the clock on America’s founding father, tracking a young George Washington’s rocky bond with his mother and his brutal baptism-by-fire as a commander in the French and Indian War.

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 picks up after Maggie finally finds peace — until Liam, a “summer romance” from her past, resurfaces claiming he’s actually her husband. Cal is left wondering if her old life ever really let her go.

Elle rewinds Legally Blonde to 1995, following teenage Elle Woods as she adjusts to grunge-era Seattle after leaving sunny California. It’s the origin story behind her signature confidence — executive produced by Reese Witherspoon herself.

Enola Holmes 3 puts the wedding on hold. Enola’s engagement to Lord Tewkesbury gets derailed by an international kidnapping case in Malta, and she’s back to sleuthing instead of vow-writing.

Human Vapor reimagines the 1960 Toho classic as a modern sci-fi thriller — a man who can turn into gas uses his power for a chilling crime spree, keeping investigators (and viewers) on edge.

Silo Season 3 follows engineer Juliette Nichols as she returns to a broken bunker with amnesia, while flashback storylines slowly unravel a much bigger conspiracy.

Survival of the Thickest Season 3 continues Mavis Beaumont’s journey — a plus-size Black stylist chasing her brand and her own sense of self, one funny, messy step at a time.

If you’re into franchise deep-dives, the Minions Wikipedia page is a great rabbit hole for how the yellow creatures went from Despicable Me sidekicks to their own billion-dollar universe.
