Let’s be honest — when Greta Gerwig’s name is attached to anything, people pay attention. But the Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew cast reveal? That’s on a whole different level. From James Bond to a three-time Oscar winner, this film is stacking legends like it’s building a fantasy universe from scratch — because it literally is.
Narnia : Full Cast at a Glance
Unlike previous Narnia adaptations that began with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Greta Gerwig’s film adapts The Magician’s Nephew — the chronological origin story of Narnia — marking the first time this book has ever been brought to the big screen. whats-on-netflix

The Standout Castings You Need to Know
Meryl Streep as Aslan is already the most talked-about choice. While Netflix has not yet officially confirmed her role, all signs point to her voicing the divine lion-ruler of Narnia, Aslan — a character previously voiced by Liam Neeson. Big shoes, no doubt.
Daniel Craig steps into the eccentric world of magic as Uncle Andrew Ketterley — the bumbling magician who creates the rings that allow the children to travel between worlds, though he’s too cowardly to use them himself. whats-on-netflix
Emma Mackey takes on the daunting task of following Tilda Swinton’s iconic White Witch. Her version of Jadis serves as a full origin story — from self-proclaimed Queen of the desolate world of Charn to the tyrannical ruler of Narnia. whats-on-netflix
The two young leads are equally impressive. David McKenna, who was nominated for a Gotham TV Award for his role as Piggy in the BBC’s Lord of the Flies, plays Digory Kirke — the curious, reckless boy at the heart of it all. Beatrice Campbell, fresh from Wes Anderson’s world, brings the sensible, grounding energy of Polly Plummer. whats-on-netflix
