Manifest : The Production

The Premise

A mysterious plane crash-lands in Denver, and its passengers emerge with no memory of who they are or why they’re there. A young social worker and a novice Homeland Security agent team up with the new arrivals to stop a humanity-ending catastrophe, discovering that they are all part of the puzzle they’re trying to solve.

Meet the New Characters

No actors are announced, but early casting breakdowns outline the leads (details may change):

• Zoe (27): A compassionate social worker who grew up in foster care. She believes in horoscopes but struggles to trust people.
• Mike Deaver: A former Air Force helicopter pilot turned DHS agent, haunted by a past mistake.
• Wes (50s): A guarded but warm man living off the grid with Sloane and Joe.
• Sloane (19): Tough and resourceful, with a pulmonary condition.
• Billy: Zoe’s wealthy, charming ex.
• Selena (50s): A commanding leader with history with Wes.

Clues Worth Noticing

Joe is mentioned but has no breakdown of his own, which suggests the role is being kept secret. Wes’s history with Selena also hints that some characters know more than they let on. Nothing is confirmed about any original Manifest cast returning, as the show is framed as a new story in the same world.

When Will It Arrive?

With filming wrapping in June 2027 and heavy visual effects likely, What’s on Netflix estimates a release in early 2028 at the earliest. That’s an estimate, not an announcement. To catch up before then, all four seasons of the original are on Netflix. Background on the original show is on the Manifest Wikipedia page.
