From Mahindra to Hyundai and MG, Here are all the upcoming cars launching in January 2022

Many significant vehicles, like the new Thar 2WD, are anticipated to be priced this month in India. The year 2023, like 2022, is expected to be action-packed, with the introduction of numerous new products in the country.

1. Mahindra XUV400 EV

The brand just unveiled the new XUV400 EV, which competes directly in the Indian market with rivals like as the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV. It not only has a powerful engine, but it also has a practical, safe, and feature-rich cabin. The official costs of the XUV400 EV in India are expected to be announced soon by the brand.

2. Mahindra Thar 4X2

With Maruti preparing to introduce the new Jimny 5-door in India, Mahindra is slated to release the Thar 4X2 with 1.5L diesel and 2.0L petrol engine options soon. This new variant is expected to start at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will compete with the Jimny’s entry-level models.

3. MG Hector/Hector Plus Facelift

It’s been quite some time since MG initially teased the new Hector and Hector Plus facelift models in the country. The company is now preparing to unveil both SUVs on January 5th, 2023. While the engine options will remain the same, buyers of these facelift iterations will have access to a variety of new amenities and battery safety technology.

4. Tata Harrier Special Edition

Tata is known for releasing limited edition models in the market and is expected to release a new Tata Harrier Special Model in India this month, the specifications of which are unknown. According to reports, this new edition will include sporty red accents and a red colour theme on the inside.

5. Citroen e-C3

It’s no secret that Citroen is working on an all-electric C3 hatchback that will be released in the country soon. According to sources, the brand will shortly launch the car in India, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Tiago EV. The new e-C3 will be powered by an 86 horsepower motor with a torque output of 143 Nm. More information is not yet available.

6. Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai is likely to disclose the official pricing list of the new Ioniq 5 in India in January 2023, shortly after unveiling the new Ioniq 5. The Ioniq 5 will be the brand’s second electric vehicle and will compete directly with rivals such as the Kia EV6.
