What Is Madhuvidhu About?
The film follows Amrutharaj, aka Ammu, a café owner living in an all-male household called Aanjalimoottil Tharavadu in Adoor alongside his widowed father Rajkumar and bachelor uncle Ambarish. The family is considered cursed by the villagers, resulting in 28 failed marriage alliances for Ammu.
When love finally walks in through the door, it comes in the shape of the spirited Sneha Markose. As the interfaith couple prepares for marriage, unforeseen circumstances, complicated family dynamics, and the looming “curse” create several obstacles — raising the question of whether Amrutharaj can finally marry the love of his life and break the curse once and for all.
It’s the kind of breezy, feel-good story that hits hardest when you’re least expecting it — equal parts hilarious and quietly emotional.
Cast & Crew
The film features a rich supporting ensemble including Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Amal Jose Antony, Sreejaya Nair, and cameo appearances by Bindu Panicker and Vineeth Sreenivasan. Music is handled by the always-reliable Hesham Abdul Wahab, whose touch adds just the right emotional texture to the story.
What’s Next for Sharaf U Dheen?
The actor is set to star alongside Naslen in Mollywood Times, directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak — a film described as a “hate letter” to cinema, now scheduled to release on June 5, 2026. That’s a fascinating premise and a very different vibe from the warmth of Madhuvidhu — versatility on full display.
