M4 Chip Performance Leap

The M4 chip represents a significant upgrade over the M3, delivering faster CPU performance, enhanced GPU capabilities for graphics-intensive tasks, improved Neural Engine for AI workloads, and better power efficiency extending battery life. The 10-core CPU configuration ensures smooth multitasking whether you’re editing videos, running creative applications, or managing dozens of browser tabs simultaneously.

The 8-core GPU handles casual gaming, photo editing in apps like Photoshop and Lightroom, and 4K video editing without breaking a sweat. While not targeting hardcore gamers or 3D rendering professionals, this GPU configuration satisfies most creative and productivity workflows.

Sky Blue: Fresh Design Statement

The Sky Blue colorway joins existing MacBook Air finishes (Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray, Silver), offering a vibrant, youthful aesthetic. This marks Apple’s first significant new color addition to the MacBook Air lineup in years, reflecting the company’s push to make Macs more expressive and personalized.

16GB Standard: Major Value Addition

Apple doubled the base unified memory from 8GB to 16GB across all M4 MacBook Air models—addressing long-standing criticism that 8GB was insufficient for modern computing. The 16GB configuration ensures smooth performance running multiple apps, future-proofs the laptop for upcoming macOS versions and Apple Intelligence features, eliminates memory swap slowdowns common with 8GB models, and provides headroom for browser tabs, creative apps, and productivity suites running simultaneously.

Who Should Buy?

The MacBook Air M4 at ₹79,990 suits students needing portable, long-lasting laptops for coursework, creative professionals handling photo editing and video work, business users requiring reliable ultraportables for travel, and anyone seeking premium build quality with Apple ecosystem integration. The 256GB storage might feel limiting for users with large media libraries, though external storage and cloud services mitigate this constraint.
