Three icons walk into a room — a maverick filmmaker, a musical legend, and a fearless producer. What comes out is Dilkashi — and it already sounds like the most dangerously beautiful film of 2026. Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and co-written with Karan Vyas, Dilkashi stars Abhay Verma and Zahan Kapoor as Rose and Atharva — two people bound by an intense and complicated past, drawn back together by a passion they cannot escape, in a seductive yet volatile game of love, betrayal, and emotional manipulation.

💔 What Is Dilkashi About?
Rose and Atharva — tied together by an intense and complicated past — are drawn back together by a passion they cannot escape. What begins as a second chance soon turns into a seductive yet volatile game of love, betrayal, and emotional manipulation. Their fragile reunion is further threatened by an obsessive third lover, whose fixation pushes them into dangerous territory. As desire collides with memory and fantasy blurs with reality, the trio becomes entangled in a web of longing and control — where every choice carries irreversible consequences.
The official synopsis frames it as: “United by passion, torn apart by volatility and an obsessive third lover, Rose and Atharva reunite in a seductive game of love, betrayal, fantasy, and dangerously irreversible second chances.”
The Dream Team That Makes This a Landmark Film
Producer Sahil Saigal said: “To bring together Lijo Jose Pellissery and AR Rahman for this film feels nothing short of momentous.” AR Rahman himself added: “Lijo is a revelation to cinema. Working with Hansal has been a delight, and I’m eager to see what the three of us create together.”
Filmmaker Mohit Suri called it “a true romantic musical, backed by fresh talent and music by the legendary AR Rahman” — and immediately congratulated the entire team.
For Abhay Verma, shooting has already begun and he described it as “a destiny moment”: “A.R. Rahman sir, Hansal Mehta sir, and Lijo Jose Pellissery sir have been my gurus in every sense. Moments like these make you believe in grace, destiny, and in God a little more.”
