LG Rollable smartphone spotted on South Korea’s Carrier Internet Database reveals specifications

In 2020, many smartphone manufacturing companies have launched many mid-range devices with 5G network support, and most of the processors released this year with 5G modem. Also, in this year many foldable smartphones have been released which have gained a lot of popularity among smartphone lovers. Now according to a recent report, LG is working on another foldable form factor- a Rollable display.

Recently, this upcoming LG rollable smartphone has been spotted on South Korea’s Carrier Internet Database, reveals some specifications of this upcoming smartphone. Let’s have a depth view of it.

According to the source, the upcoming rollable smartphone of LG comes with a model number of LM-RN910N, whereas the unlocked model has a model number of OMD-LM-R910N.

The tipster @Cozyplanes has posted some details of this upcoming rollable device. According to the tipster, the phone will expand on both side, and users can expand the screen size by up to 100%. But the top frame will not expand with the device. The report also reveals the phone will feature a flexible frame that can be expanded to cover the exposed edge of the screen and then it can be recovered when the phone is closed. The phone will also feature a locking device to prevent accidental deployment and prevent the display from scrolling too fast, which may cause wrinkles on the screen.

According to the rumor, this upcoming rollable device will sport a 7.4-inch expandable AMOLED display. The screen will also have a (1080×2428)pixels of screen resolution(20:9), a video mode of (1366×2428) pixels (16:9), and a productivity model of (1600×2428) pixels(3:2). The phone may be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with 16GB RAM. The rumors also reveal that this upcoming rollable device will have 4,200 mAh of battery backup.

The company also indicates that display extensions can be put to different uses relative to the main screen contents. There could be a frame by frame view in the case of watching videos or switching between different camera views. As of now, we have got only this amount of information.
