Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto G85 globally in the near future. Recently leaked high-resolution renders have unveiled its potential design and color options, alongside additional specifications shared by a reliable source. Notably, these renders also highlight a significant omission compared to its predecessor. Here’s a detailed look:

Evan Blass (@EVleaks) shared renders via X revealing the Moto G85 in Brass, Dark Grey, and possibly Blue colors. The front showcases a punch-hole cutout and slim bezels all around, with a subtle curve on both the front and back for a sleek profile. The rear camera module appears seamlessly integrated into the back surface, resembling the design of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro more than the Moto G84’s rear camera mesa.

The dual rear camera setup is visible on the renders, as is the ‘M’ insignia. On the bottom, the phone keeps a speaker grille, SIM tray, USB-C port, and mic hole, with another hole on the top side. Unfortunately, that does mean the return to the line of the 3.5mm headphone jack, which was missing on the Moto G84, and left some Moto fans feeling cold.

The phone could feature a 6.67-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate (all are rumored details) — a tad bigger than the G84’s 6.5-inch panel, noted tipster MysteryLupin on X. The rear consists of a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.79) and a 9MP ultrawide with macro shots in tow, and we expect a 32MP selfie sensor on the front.

It is rumored to run on an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz, featuring an Adreno 619 GPU, an upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 5G in its predecessor, and likely to come with near-stock Android 14 out of the box.

It is expected to offer 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support is anticipated. The phone is projected to weigh 173 grams, slightly heavier than the Moto G84’s 166g, despite both having a 5,000mAh battery.
