Who Is Lashana Lynch?

If you don’t know the name, you absolutely know the face. Lynch is best known for making history as the first Black female 007 agent, Nomi, in the James Bond blockbuster No Time to Die, and has since starred in The Woman King, Matilda the Musical, the MCU alongside Captain Marvel, and most recently Sky/Peacock’s hit thriller The Day of the Jackal.

Now she’s swapping modern espionage for the soot and smoke of 1950s post-war Britain — and fans are absolutely buzzing about what her character could mean for the Shelby story. Character details are currently being kept tightly under wraps, which only adds to the intrigue.

What Is the New Peaky Blinders Sequel About?

The two-season project follows the Shelby family as they navigate the brutal, high-stakes world of post-war reconstruction, with the race to rebuild Birmingham becoming a “brutal contest of mythical dimensions” — a time of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the blood-soaked Shelbys right at the centre.

Production officially kicked off in Stoke-on-Trent, with the historic Grade II-listed Queen’s Theatre in Burslem used to capture the mid-century aesthetic, alongside outdoor filming on Jenkins Street — beautifully transformed with 1950s-era cars and period-appropriate set dressing. whats-on-netflix
