What Happened in Episode 1?

The season premiere delivered a gut punch to fans. Monty Miller didn’t survive his heart transplant surgery from Season 1’s finale, leaving a massive power vacuum at M-Tex Oil. But Demi Moore’s Cami isn’t backing down—she’s taken over the company with fierce determination.

Tommy Norris got promoted to President of M-Tex, now juggling corporate politics while maintaining his rough-around-the-edges charm. Meanwhile, Cooper hit oil gold with his new land site, and the show introduced Sam Elliott as T.L. Norris, Tommy’s father, adding another layer to the family drama.

What’s Next?

With the title “Sins of the Father,” Episode 2 promises to dig deeper into family legacies and past mistakes. Expect Tommy to navigate his new role while dealing with internal conspiracies, and watch for Cooper’s relationship with Ariana to face more challenges as his oil success grows.

The addition of Sam Elliott’s character suggests we’ll explore Tommy’s backstory and what made him the hard-nosed landman we know today.
