“Kumusta”: Ji Chang Wook Joins Filipino Stars for a Foodie Adventure in Seoul

Get ready for a flavor-packed crossover that’s bringing the Philippines to the heart of Gangnam! A brand-new Filipino-Korean variety show called “Kumusta” has just dropped, and it’s now streaming for free on Viki across Southeast Asia.

What Is “Kumusta” All About?

Picture this: a group of beloved Filipino stars team up with a top Korean actor to run a pop-up Filipino restaurant — right in the middle of Seoul. That’s exactly the premise of “Kumusta,” and honestly, it sounds like the kind of cultural mash-up fans have been waiting for.

A Taste of Home, Served in Korea

Leading the kitchen is Filipino chef JP Anglo, who handpicked what he calls “blockbuster” dishes designed to win over Korean taste buds. Think inasal, kare-kare, bagoong, lechon, pork sisig, and gising-gising — all served alongside the Korean staple, banchan (side dishes). It’s a beautiful blend of two food cultures coming together on one table.

Adding extra star power, Korean actors Seo In Guk, Kim Myung Soo, and Kim Min Seok pop in as guest servers, giving fans even more reason to tune in.

What makes “Kumusta” stand out isn’t just the food — it’s the genuine cultural exchange happening on screen. With Ji Chang Wook’s massive fanbase and the popularity of Filipino stars like Jodi Sta. Maria and Janella Salvador, this show feels like a celebration of friendship between two vibrant entertainment industries.
