One of Bollywood’s most iconic on-screen pairs could be reuniting — and this time, with superpowers. Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly in advanced talks to star opposite Salman Khan in an upcoming superhero film directed by Raj & DK. The film, produced by Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers, marks Salman Khan’s first full-fledged entry into the superhero genre, making it one of the most anticipated projects in Bollywood.

Project Snapshot: What We Know So Far

While she hasn’t signed the project yet, sources say she has “responded to the script enthusiastically” and “expressed keen interest verbally.” Reportedly, Salman Khan personally called up Kareena Kapoor and discussed the project with her.

If finalised, the film would mark Salman and Kareena’s fifth on-screen collaboration and their first reunion since the 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The prospect of seeing them together again — in a superhero universe, no less — has sent fans into overdrive.

Salman Khan’s “Never-Seen-Before Avatar”

The film will present Salman Khan in a never-seen-before avatar as he steps into the role of an ageing superhero, who’s drawn back into action by circumstances beyond his control, eventually leading him into a larger conflict. Reports suggest the film will blend Raj & DK’s signature humour with stylised action on a large scale. What makes this collaboration especially intriguing is the creative contrast at its center — Salman Khan’s star power has traditionally thrived in broad, crowd-pleasing action spectacles, while Raj and DK have built a distinct space with genre-driven storytelling, tonal flair, and edgy mainstream writing.
