As Iori confronts her true identity, readers are about to witness some of the manga’s most significant revelations yet.

Kagurabachi Chapter 66 : The Truth About Iori’s Identity

The chapter, aptly titled “Truth,” begins with a emotional scene as Chihiro and the Masumi reveal Iori’s true identity as Samura’s daughter. Her reaction is deeply human – panic eating while processing the revelation of her fabricated memories and the constant feeling of loneliness that has haunted her. The truth about her real name, Iori Samura, triggers fragments of forgotten memories, especially when she sees her father’s name written in Kanji.

The Seitei War’s Dark History

Twenty-two years ago, a mysterious country appeared near the southeastern coast, bringing with it the source of Enchanted Blades – Datenseki. The chapter reveals that this nation’s people possessed unique abilities to handle Datenseki’s internal pressure without being destroyed. The ensuing Seitei War lasted for seventeen months, ending only through the efforts of the Sword Saint and five master swordsmen, with Samura’s legendary speed playing a crucial role in their victory.

Present Dangers and Hotel Confrontation

The chapter culminates in a tense situation at the Kyoto Massacre Hotel, where multiple plot threads converge. While Sumi and Moku discuss sealing Iori’s memories on the roof, Hiruhiko’s dramatic entrance and subsequent violation of the hotel’s rules sets up an inevitable confrontation with hotel manager Youjiro. This development suggests that Samura’s long-awaited appearance might be imminent.
