Juventus would be wise to cash in on in-form Morata, but it won’t be cheap

Alvaro Morata has been in stunning form ever since he returned to Turin on a loan deal from parent club Atletico Madrid. He has scored 6 goals from 8 games for Juventus and has also provided 2 assists.

All in all, he has been an incredible successor to Gonzalo Higuain at his former club, since the Argentinian joined the MLS.

The Spaniard’s move to Serie A was further impacted by the arrival of Barcelona striker Luis Suarez at Atletico. However, considering the fact that he has found his goalscoring form in the black and white shirt, Juventus will be tempted to keep the striker at the club.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has communicated to the Bianconeri that they will have to pay a decent amount of money if they want to sign Morata permanently.

“He deserves this positive moment,” Cerezo told El Larguero as quoted by Football Italia.

“It seems he has found the right path.

“He’s an Atletico Madrid player on loan to Juventus, who has an option to buy. If they want him, they must pay.”

The future finally looks good for the 28-year-old striker. His spell at Chelsea took a toll on his confidence, which was visible on the pitch and in his performances as well. Since returning to Spain, Morata has been decent for Atletico.

However, he has taken it up a notch this season with Juventus and looks like a completely different player now. His time at Chelsea seems like another life in itself.

The Spaniard has been in brilliant form for Spain as well, opening the scoring in the 6-0 demolition of Germany in the Nations League. He also hit out on his critics after that very performance, daring fans, as well as the media to criticise him now as they did in the past.

Things look bright for Morata this season, and Juventus would be wise to cash in on the player. However, it won’t be cheap.
