Jio users have a rare shot at a premium AI plan for free, and this week it matters more than ever. Google has just launched Gemini 4 Argon, and an X post from India Plus claimed that Jio users on 5G plans get free access to it.
The truth sits slightly deeper. Jio and Google run an offer that gives eligible Jio customers a free Google AI Pro subscription, and Pro subscribers can use Gemini 4 Argon in the Gemini app. Here is the full guide, plus the limits you should know before you sign up.

Gemini 4 Argon: Key Details
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Offer | Free Google AI Pro through Jio |
| Value reported | Rs 35,100 over the free period |
| Duration reported | 18 months |
| Where to claim | MyJio app, Early access banner |
| Argon on Pro plan | Gemini app and Google Search AI Mode |
| Argon on free Gemini accounts | Not available, per a creator post |
| Argon in Antigravity and AI Studio | Ultra plan only, per the same post |
How to Claim the Free Gemini Pro Plan
Based on reports from Free Press Journal, the claim flow is short. Open the MyJio app on your Jio number and log in. Tap the Early access banner on the home screen. A browser tab opens where you sign in with your Google account. Scroll to the bottom, confirm, then open the Gemini app to check that the advanced features are active.
The same report said no extra payment is needed. It also said the offer began for Jio users aged 18 to 25 and was later opened to all prepaid and postpaid customers. That report is from November 2025, so eligibility today should be checked inside MyJio.
How to Use Gemini 4 Argon in the Gemini App
Once your Pro plan is active, open the Gemini app and look at the model picker at the top of the chat. If Argon has rolled out to your account, it should appear there. Google often rolls models out in stages, so it may take some time to show up.
Developers and coders get the model elsewhere too. Cursor says Argon is live in its editor at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, as we covered in our earlier Gemini 4 Argon report.
Limits to Know Before You Rely on It
Creator Sai Nemani summarised the access tiers on X: Pro users get Argon in the Gemini app and AI Mode, Ultra users also get Antigravity and AI Studio, and free users get no access at all. If that holds, the Jio plan is useful mainly because it upgrades you to Pro for free.
Usage caps on Pro plans can also apply. Treat the free period as a trial of the premium tier, and note the date it ends so you are not surprised by a renewal charge.
What Is Not Confirmed
- The exact Jio plans that qualify today. The viral post says 5G plans, but the reports we found describe all prepaid and postpaid users.
- Whether Argon is already visible on every Jio-claimed Pro account.
- Daily usage limits on Argon for Pro subscribers.
- What happens when the 18 months end, as the terms were not in the sources we checked.
