The 21/22 ISL season is almost here, with the matches set to begin from November 19. To build up to the new season, we are taking a look at all the teams playing in the competition. In this article, we take a look at SC East Bengal and how their team lines up this time around.

SC East Bengal Team Profile
In their first season in the top flight of Indian football, SC East Bengal endured a very disappointing result. They only won 3 out of 20 games and finished the season with a 6-5 defeat against Odisha FC.
A number of changes have been made since the previous season. Robbie Fowler has been replaced by former Real Madrid Castilla coach Manolo Diaz.
The club has made a number of very smart signings such as Golden Glove winner Arindam Bhattacharya, Jackichand Singh, Adil Khan and Amarjit Singh. The team has quality in the heart of the park and midfield, but there are two main issues.
The first is the lack of experience in the team with a number of young players set to feature for the first team. The second is the lack of established attackers in the team.
While the playoffs might be a little too far to achieve for SC East Bengal, a better performance than last season will be expected from the Red and Golds this time around.
