Is Scarlet Witch Sneaking Back Into the MCU? A New Clue Says Yes

Just when fans thought Wanda Maximoff’s story ended at Mount Wundagore, a tiny Instagram post has reignited the entire fandom. Elizabeth Olsen’s own movement coach and stunt double, Jennifer White, shared a cryptic throwback story from her Marvel Studios days — and the timing couldn’t feel more suspicious.

Wanda hasn’t appeared on screen since her dramatic exit in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fans have long theorized she survived, and this new post has poured fuel on that fire, especially with two massive Avengers films on the horizon.

What’s Fueling Scarlet Witch Speculation

Insiders report that Avengers: Doomsday is still filming additional scenes ahead of its December 18 release, while Avengers: Secret Wars production reportedly kicks off at the end of September. Add to that a mysterious Latverian Witch costume shown off at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and theories about Wanda secretly working under Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom are gaining serious traction.

Why Would Make Sense

Wanda’s chaos magic is exactly the kind of reality-bending power the Multiverse Saga needs. One popular theory suggests Doctor Doom secretly saved her when Wundagore collapsed, then began siphoning her magic — which would explain his surge in power. That would set up a poetic redemption arc in Secret Wars, where Wanda breaks free and helps undo Doom’s Battleworld. Olsen has publicly denied returning, and directors have only offered a coy “we shall see” — but MCU stars covering their tracks is nothing new.
