Is Deadpool in Avengers: Doomsday? A Marvel x Adidas T-Shirt Just Fueled the Biggest Rumor

Sometimes the biggest Marvel hints hide in plain sight, and this one is on a T-shirt. New Avengers: Doomsday merchandise from a Marvel and Adidas partnership has fans wondering whether the Merc with a Mouth is about to crash the biggest crossover in MCU history.

Avengers: Doomsday- Overview

What the Shirt Shows?

An Instagram post revealed the shirt. It features Doctor Doom’s name in huge lettering, torn open by his silver-gloved hand into five windows. Each window shows a different part of the Marvel universe, including the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, who are already confirmed for the film. Deadpool appears in the gap made by Doom’s thumb, waving from the back of a unicorn.

The art style also looks familiar. It resembles the hand-drawn Deadpool seen in the credits of Deadpool 2 (2018), though the shirt version looks more like a stick figure.

Why Fans Think It Matters?

Ryan Reynolds recently showed up to Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con panel in a grey Deadpool costume. He dubbed the color scheme “Jean Grey,” which sent fans speculating about his involvement. Add the shirt, and the theory grows.

Still, it’s a hint, not a confirmation. Deadpool hasn’t been confirmed for any future Marvel appearances. Reports do say Marvel is looking into a fourth Deadpool solo movie with Reynolds.

Would Deadpool Make Sense?

Quite a bit. Doomsday centers on Incursions and the wider multiverse, and Deadpool has plenty of multiverse experience after his official MCU debut two years ago.

The open question is which universe he comes from. It’s unclear whether Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine share a universe with the seven X-Men stars already confirmed. If Reynolds doesn’t appear in Doomsday, there’s still a good chance he turns up in 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars, since Marvel reportedly wants as many major heroes as possible.

Conclusion

Treat the shirt as a fun Easter egg rather than a promise. If Deadpool does show up, fans can expect plenty of fourth-wall commentary on the absurdity of so many heroes sharing one screen. For background, see the Deadpool page on Wikipedia.
