Delhi’s festive season just got a merc with a mouth. A Deadpool cosplayer traded his katanas for dandiya sticks and joined the celebrations, giving everyone a very Deadpool-style surprise.
What Happened with Deadpool?
On October 20, 2026, a cosplayer dressed as Deadpool turned up at the dandiya festivities at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi. This is the venue for the upcoming Delhi Comic Con.
Instead of the usual superhero chaos, he joined the fun with quirky moves and playful antics. Few things are more on-brand for the wisecracking anti-hero than gatecrashing a Navratri party, and the mix of pop culture and tradition made for a fun surprise.

Why Delhi Matters?
This edition marks a homecoming. Delhi is the city where Comic Con’s India journey began, so the 2026 return carries some nostalgia for long-time fans.
Why This Stunt Works?
Great event marketing gives people something to smile at and share. By blending a global pop-culture icon with a beloved Indian festival tradition, the Deadpool outing shows how fandom and culture can mix. It also builds anticipation, since Comic Con organisers know the best way to excite fans is to meet them where they already are.
What to Expect in December?
Expect two days packed with fandom: cosplayers in full costume, gaming zones, anime lovers, comic fans and plenty of chances to meet creators. If you’re new to the scene, Wikipedia’s Deadpool page is a handy primer on the character that has fans lining up for selfies.
