Some films open big and fade fast. Irumudi isn’t one of them. Ravi Teja’s latest action entertainer is proving to be a genuine word-of-mouth hit, holding rock-steady even on a working Tuesday — usually the toughest day for any theatrical release.
Irumudi : The Numbers Don’t Lie
The film added Rs. 14.50 crore on Tuesday, a dip of barely 10% from Monday. What’s more impressive? It has dropped only 15% from its opening day — a rarity for big-ticket Telugu cinema, where numbers usually crash by the second half of the week.
| Day | Collection |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Rs. 17.00 crore |
| Day 2 | Rs. 17.75 crore |
| Day 3 | Rs. 22.25 crore |
| Day 4 | Rs. 15.50 crore |
| Day 5 | Rs. 14.50 crore |
| Total | Rs. 87.00 crore |
Where It’s Winning Big
Unsurprisingly, the Telugu states are carrying the film, contributing roughly Rs. 76.75 crore of the total gross. Within that, the Nizam region alone has pulled in Rs. 37 crore, followed by Andhra and Ceded areas. Karnataka and the rest of India have chipped in a modest but steady share too.

What’s Next for Irumudi?
The real test arrives this Wednesday, when Yash’s much-hyped Toxic hits screens and competes for the same audience. But given the strong reception and minimal drops so far, trade watchers believe Irumudi could comfortably cross the Rs. 150 crore mark in the Telugu states, with Rs. 200 crore not out of reach if the momentum holds.
