Revolutionary Design: Titanium Frame & Component Redesign

Achieving the 5.6mm thickness required complete internal component redesign down to the printed circuit board (PCB) level. The titanium frame with Ceramic Shield 2 protection on both front and back ensures durability despite the ultra-thin profile.

The innovative “plateau” design houses major components including the single rear camera, requiring Apple to sacrifice the dual-camera system for the impossibly thin chassis. The device is also exceptionally light, enhancing its portability credentials.

A19 Pro Performance in Ultra-Thin Package

Despite design constraints, Apple equipped the iPhone Air with the same 3nm A19 Pro chip found in iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, unlike the standard iPhone 17 which uses the watered-down A19. This enables advanced features like simultaneous video recording from both rear and front cameras.
