Intel Core i5-14600K CPU has appeared in new Benchmark

In leaked benchmarks, 14th Gen Intel Core i5-14600K Desktop CPU offers up to a 10% performance boost over its predecessor. Enthusiast Citizen of Bilibili shared the most recent Intel Core i5-14600K CPU benchmarks. The CPU under test is an ES component that is operating on a Z790 motherboard with the RX 7900 XTX card. It appears that no manual overclocking was performed, and the chip was tested in its stock state, giving us a clear picture of what to expect from the CPU at launch.

The cooling mechanism was not disclosed, however the leaker did indicate that the 8 P-Cores were sucking in more than 1.4V voltages, which is quite high, and that this might be addressed with the retail silicon that ships to consumers next month.

Despite the higher voltages, the Intel Core i5-14600K CPU managed to maintain a peak temperature of 75 degrees Celsius despite consuming 160 watts of power in AIDA64’s stress test. The 13600K had a rated power rating (PL2) of 181W, and we should expect the same from this chip despite the fact that it works at 200 MHz faster. Now we’ll get into the specifics.

The Intel Core i5-14600K CPU characteristics are basic.

You will receive 6 P-Cores (12 threads) and 8 E-Cores (8 threads), totaling 14 cores and 20 threads. The cores are based on the same 10ESF process node as before and use the Raptor Cove & Gracemont core architecture. The CPU has a basic clock speed of 3.5 GHz and can accelerate to 5.3 GHz (on a single core).

Starting with the most recent Cinebench 2024 results, the Intel Core i5-14600K ES CPU was 10% quicker in both single and multi-threading than the Core i5-13600K. If you can acquire it for the same price as the 13600K, it makes for a decent chip, which may be the case based on the most recent merchant listings.

Following that, we have Cinebench R23 and CPU-z, where the increases drop to around 5%, which is still an improvement but not as significant as the one shown in Cinebench 2024. Although it is predicted that the 200 MHz faster clocks would not result in much increased performance, some benchmarks or apps may simply provide a better performance environment for the Core i5-14600K. The chip is configured exactly like the 13600K.

According to the leaker, the Intel Core i5-14600K has great undervolting potential, as shown with the Core i5-13600K. The Core i5-13600K went on to become an Intel success story, and it still performs well versus Zen 4-based Ryzen 5 parts.
