Getting close to your celebrity crush usually isn’t part of the job description. But in tvN’s newest office rom-com, Kim Hye Joon’s character is discovering that flattering the boss might be exactly the shortcut she needs.
The Premise
“My Bias, My Boss” takes viewers into the center of a brewing love triangle at a trendy fashion company founded by a former idol and his best friend, played by Cha Woo Min and Kang Hoon respectively. During the company’s latest recruitment drive, Kim Hye Joon’s character throws her hat into the ring, her interest in fashion inspired by none other than Cha’s character himself — her ultimate idol bias.

Getting Closer To Her Bias — Through The Boss
It seems like the dream job: she gets to do work she loves while sharing the same air as her Oppa. However, her first day at work turns into a total disaster, where she manages to get on the radar of both her bias and her boss in spectacular fashion.
The twist that fuels the whole love triangle is simple but effective: to stay close to her idol, she first has to win over the man actually running her day-to-day work life. Kang Hoon may be her boss, but she finds herself drawn to him too, and the feeling turns out to be entirely mutual.
Where The Real Drama Begins
Though everyone tries to keep their relationships strictly professional, it’s only a matter of time before someone lets their heart take over, complicating the office dynamic even further.
Kim Hye Joon, known for roles in “A Shop for Killers 2” and “Cashero,” leads the series showcasing the power of fangirling, opposite Kang Hoon and Cha Woo Min.
The show’s premise taps into a familiar but always-charming genre convention within K-drama storytelling — the office romance — while giving it a fresh idol-fandom twist that sets it apart from typical workplace love triangles.
