There’s something wonderfully addictive about an office romance. Deadlines, rivalries, awkward elevator rides, and then, somehow, feelings. K-dramas have made the workplace one of their favorite romantic playgrounds. Here are ten office rom-coms to add to your watchlist, based on Soompi’s roundup.

K-Dramas Watchlist

The Ten K-Dramas , Explained

1. My Bias, My Boss. Nam Da Reum leaves a big company to join fashion platform APPELLO, founded by her favorite idol Lee Chan and his friend, CEO Kang Ha Gi. Her dream job turns into a battle with her meticulous boss, and her heart starts wavering. The unusual setup makes this love triangle stand out.

2. Love Scout. Han Ji Min plays Kang Ji Yun, the brilliant but life-clumsy CEO of a headhunting firm. Her new secretary, the warm and organized single father Yu Eun Ho, becomes indispensable. The role reversal, with a formidable female boss and a male assistant, is the show’s biggest charm.

3. My Dearest Nemesis. Su Jung and Ju Yeon met as teens in an online game without knowing each other’s identities. Sixteen years later, they reunite as employee and boss at a department store. It’s an enemies-to-lovers setup with a modern twist.

4. Filing for Love. Joo In Ah, the tough and eccentric head of an audit office, gets a new team member in the demoted Noh Ki Jun, who now handles internal misconduct. The characters investigate wrongdoing while working out whom to trust, so romance and conflict collide.

5. Today’s Webtoon. Former national-level judo athlete On Ma Eum, forced out by injury, starts over as a rookie at a webtoon company. It’s less a conventional romance than a warm story about finding your place, surviving office politics and growing up professionally.

6. The Divorce Insurance. Lee Dong Wook plays a three-times-divorced actuary who invents divorce insurance. His team, including an underwriter mid-divorce, tries to put a price on life’s most unpredictable event, and ends up questioning their own ideas about love and marriage.

7. A Business Proposal. Shin Ha Ri goes on a blind date in place of her friend, planning to scare the man off. He turns out to be Kang Tae Moo, her company’s new CEO, who then decides he wants to marry her. Fake identities and a parallel romance make it a modern classic.

8. See You at Work Tomorrow. Cha Ji Yoon is a seven-year office veteran living with a chronic illness. Her relationship with prickly boss Kang Si Woo starts badly, then slowly becomes meaningful. It’s a more grounded take on office love.

9. Yumi’s Cells 2. Kim Yumi moves on from game developer Goo Woong and grows closer to colleague Yoo Babi while chasing her dream of becoming a writer. The animated cells in her head add playful commentary, and anyone who has over-analysed a colleague’s text will relate.

10. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. Narcissistic vice chairman Lee Young Joon has relied on secretary Kim Mi So for nine years. When she announces she wants to resign, he realizes losing her may mean losing the woman he loves. It’s the definitive boss-secretary rom-com, with chemistry to match.
