Imtiaz Ali’s A.R. Rahman Love Saga, Vikram Bhatt’s 3D Horror, Akshay Kumar on Netflix — This Week’s Hindi Film Lineup Is Absolutely Stacked

June 12, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest single-day drops in Bollywood film this year. Six Hindi titles — spanning heartbreak, horror, crime, comedy, and reality TV — are landing across cinemas and OTT simultaneously. Here’s your complete cheat sheet.

All 6 Hindi Releases This Week — Overview

1. Main Vaapas Aaunga — In Cinemas

The most eagerly awaited film of the lot. Director Imtiaz Ali reunites with his signature brand of aching, poetic romance — this time with Diljit Dosanjh at the centre as a man who cannot forget the girl he met and lost in childhood. Sharvari and Vedang Raina co-star, while A.R. Rahman handles the music. That combination alone is enough to fill theatres.

2. The Silent Saviour Governor — In Cinemas

Manoj Bajpayee leads this intense socio-political drama as a quiet, calculating protagonist who operates in the shadows to protect the vulnerable and correct systemic failures. Director Chinmay Mandlekar brings a weighty, layered narrative to the screen — this one is for viewers who like their thrillers to carry real ideas.

3. Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past — In Cinemas

Vikram Bhatt returns to the genre he knows best. A real estate agent named Rehan is sent to sell a haunted ancestral estate — and stumbles straight into terrifying visions tied to a tragic 1930s story. With 3D visuals and classic Bhatt-style supernatural dread, horror fans have a clear destination this weekend.

4. Bhooth Bangla — Netflix

After a successful theatrical run, Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan’s beloved horror-comedy is finally hitting Netflix. A London-based man returns to his mother’s hometown to claim an ancestral palace for his sister’s wedding — and walks headfirst into a historic village curse. With Tabu, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav rounding out the cast, the laughs are guaranteed.

5. Raakh — Prime Video

A dark, slow-burn crime series set in the 1970s. What begins as an ordinary missing persons investigation spirals into a deep criminal conspiracy involving missing children. Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre lead this gritty period thriller — and if the premise sounds intense, that’s entirely the point.

6. Maa Hai Na — ZEE5

Not every weekend needs edge-of-your-seat tension. Hosted by Shilpa Shetty Kundra, this comedy cooking reality show is built around the warmth of mothers and the chaos of Gen Z children trying to connect with them through food. Light, fun, and genuinely feel-good.

Which One Should You Watch?

Craving romance? Main Vaapas Aaunga. Want chills? Haunted 3D or Bhooth Bangla on Netflix. In the mood for something cerebral? The Silent Saviour Governor or Raakh. Just want to unwind? Maa Hai Na on ZEE5 has you covered.
