Three of the five secret skaters are immediately available in the Secret Shop once you start the game. Three are relatively easy to obtain, as they’ll show up in the shop right away, meaning players will just need to earn enough currency to buy them.
Earning Cash Fast
- Complete tour objectives and challenges
- Perform high-scoring trick combos
- Collect floating cash stacks throughout levels
- Master special tricks for bonus points
Pro Tip: Focus on completing Career mode objectives first, as they provide substantial cash rewards that’ll help you afford these characters quickly.
The Ultimate Challenge: Constable Richard (Jack Black)
Constable Richard is the modern incarnation of Officer Dick with the face and voice of Hollywood legend Jack Black. This character requires the most dedication to unlock.
Panda Plushie Hunt Strategy
To unlock Jack Black’s character, you must find one panda plushie in every single level across both games. Some are hidden in secret areas that require specific tricks to access.
Key Locations to Remember:
- Tokyo: You’ll essentially need to grind the light rail up to the ledges and find a way to grind the Neon Skater sign to knock it off and break a hole in the wall.
- Secret Areas: Many pandas are tucked away in hard-to-reach spots requiring advanced skating techniques
Why These Characters Matter
Each hidden skater brings something special to the table:
- Bam Margera: Authentic pro skater with unique animations
- Kelly Slater: Legendary surfer bringing board sports crossover appeal
- Doomguy: Gaming icon with aggressive skating style
- Michelangelo: TMNT fan favorite with turtle power
- Constable Richard: Jack Black’s humor and charisma
Essential Tips for Success
Start with the easy unlocks to build your cash reserves early. The purchasable characters give you variety while you work toward the more challenging Constable Richard unlock.
Map out your panda hunt systematically. Create a checklist of levels and mark off each panda as you find it. Some require multiple attempts to reach.
Practice advanced techniques like manual chains and wallrides before attempting the harder panda locations. Your skating skills directly impact your ability to reach hidden areas.
