How the Bundesliga is consistently supplying football with generational talent?

The Bundesliga has given rise to some of the most prolific and expensive players in recent memory. The likes of Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic all found their way into European elite clubs through the German top flight.

In addition, six of the 20 Golden Boy nominees were from the German Bundesliga which included Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham, Josko Gvardiol and others who recently made the move to the league.

How the Bundesliga is becoming the top attraction for youngsters?

Last season, players aged 20 and under 20 accounted for 33,741 minutes in the Bundesliga. This is more than any of the top five European leagues which includes the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1.

Playing time is one of the most important things for young players, since it helps them mature on the field. And since so many youngsters are given a chance in the league, it is becoming a breeding ground for their early success.

Alongside competition in one of the top European leagues, young players also get to play in the Champions League or Europa League. This helps them gain much-needed experience in high-pressure situations midweek.

Performing well there makes them huge attractions for fans, and for top European clubs who can sign new talent. And as a result, it helps them improve on their skills in a practical environment while being rewarded financially and in terms of team success.

The likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham have made the move from England to great success. And while Sancho is already back in the Premier League, Bellingham is expected to have a major transfer next summer. Many other players are bound to follow in their steps, with Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea being the most recent to move to Germany.
