HMD smartphone to launch with 108MP OIS camera: Leaks

A Finnish web publication called Suomimobiili is the source of the most recent smartphone leak involving HMD Global. A product render of an HMD smartphone that was allegedly copied from the official website has been uploaded via the platform. The page’s shared URL indicates 404 Error, which lends credence to the leak.

A woman is seen seated over a smartphone that is the color cyan in the leaked render. The rear of it bears the HMD logo. The image resembles the HMD smartphone render that leaked a few days ago, which is an intriguing detail. It unveiled a smartphone using two back cameras and a comparable camera layout.

The phone has a dual back camera configuration with a cyan accent surrounding the rings of the cameras. The “108MP OIS” badge on the back camera module is also visible. This implies that the phone’s most notable feature is its 108MP camera sensor, which supports optical image stabilization.

According to reports, HMD Global temporarily uploaded and then removed an enigmatic image from Nokia.com. The image showed a woman using a cyan-colored phone that seemed more like a 3D prototype than a genuine gadget, giving away something about HMD’s future plans.

According to a different leak last week by tipster Evan Blass, the first batch of HMD-branded phones on the X platform include the codenames Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro, and Legend Pro. One of the codenames may be being used by the phone in the leaked render. HMD Global will give an out-of-the-box stock Android experience, with a focus on low- and mid-cost phones.

The image appears to be an official promotional render that will be shown during the smartphone’s official teasers. It’s possible that HMD Global leaked the information and previewed the image.
