HikeLand: A new Virtual World to Hangout with Friends

Hike is one of the popular messaging platforms just like WhatsApp but with some different signatures. The authority of Hike, on last Wednesday, released its new in-app platform called HikeLand. This is a virtual place where you can hang out with your friends. There are opportunities to make new friends too.

For now, there are two separate virtual environments. Those two are called Home and Big Screen. Home is the place where you can invite your friends and watch videos together. Currently, only the YouTube option is available. But the developers are planning to add OTT app access in the coming days. Those, having your invitation can join your Home only. That means you need not to worry about privacy.

On the other hand, Big Screen, the second virtual environment, is like a mini theater. Videos of YouTube from all the genres are available here for 24×7. You need to only join there with unknown members. All the members can ping each other. If the opposite person responds, then only communication can go forward.

All iOS and Android users can enjoy these two virtual environments. To reach the option, the user needs to tap on the global icon. But before that, they need to update the application.

“This is the early preview with two unique shared experiences. The goal here is to listen to our users and understand what works and what more do they need. We will be building many more experiences on top of the version you see today,” said Kavin Bharti Mittal, the founder, and CEO of Hike.
